Americas Business & Sales Operations (BSO) is the center of excellence for cross-business execution performance, strategy and planning, and sales operations. The Sales Operations Program Manager for Fed Quota is an individual contributor driving seller behaviors to accelerate AI, take share and drive usage. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (Finance, SE&O, HR, Field, WWIC) to support the Field by balancing agility with governance at a large scale. 

This is a unique opportunity for someone with passion for fixing broken flows, simplifying processes, scaling best practices and wanting to network by partnering with many teams across Microsoft.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as strategic advisor to Federal business OU Leadership on quota and incentive comp related topics
  • Enable more efficient and effective quota distribution and in year management
  • Lead Americas Federal internal quota escalation processes and meetings from intake to closure
  • Triage and research issues using data to validate asks, outline options, define recommendations and drive closure within milestones
  • Proactively and reactively engage on key issues and asks to identify and remove blockers
  • Communicate decisions and amplify insights/learnings via: emails, articles, integrated SharePoint pages, presentations, templates, scripts, talking points, learning day sessions, etc.
  • Manage dual content between corporate and federal systems in accordance with data restrictions
  • Partner with WW and Americas Enterprise to land quota with field so that they understand the why, how, what and when
  • Refine quota process for continuous improvement, automation and innovation ensuring agility in delivering results while consistently maintaining and improving quality with governance
  • Lead change management to standardize Americas Enterprise Commercial processes within the Federal space.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field OR equivalent experience.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law.
To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role.  
Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter. 


Additional or preferred qualifications 

  • Minimum 2-years experience of incentive compensation (quota/awards), finance, operations and/or program management experience is required
  • Minimum 5-years experience on using data to work on complex projects with multiple stakeholders with different priorities with proven ability to bring forward a solution to drive impact
  • Good understanding of compensation principles, Microsoft solutions, sales processes and revenue systems
  • Curious self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage priorities and reprioritize as necessary
  • Passion for thinking ahead, being innovative, and continuously learning about Microsoft product
  • Ability and desire to partner with stakeholders across the company to learn how others work and how the work in Americas BSO can evolve to support
  • Ability to set clear expectations based around business outcomes, balancing agility with governance/compliance
  • Growth Mindset – good judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity, patience, and professionalism
  • Non-traditional backgrounds encouraged to apply

Sales Operations IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
