About Voltus

Voltus is the leading virtual power plant operator of distributed energy resources. Voltus pays energy users to reduce or shift electricity use in response to grid stress, high prices, and high emissions. The Voltus platform connects distributed energy resources (DERs) to energy markets across the US and Canada, providing flexibility, reliability, and resilience to the grid while generating revenue for our partners. By partnering with industry leaders and the DER ecosystem, we are building the decarbonized, distributed, decentralized, and digitized energy system of the future.

We hire teammates who are bright, gritty, and good and who have a genuine passion for delivering a cleaner energy future and for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The Role

Voltus is seeking a talented and driven Go-to-Market (GTM) Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will own full-cycle recruiting for our commercial operations, with a focus on enterprise and commercial sales. You will partner closely with Sales leadership to identify, attract, and hire exceptional talent who share our passion for accelerating the energy transition. The ideal candidate brings deep recruiting expertise, a strong network in the energy sector, and firsthand familiarity with distributed energy resources (DERs) and the commercial landscape in which they operate.

Location

Voltus is a fully remote company. Candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

    • Own the full recruiting lifecycle for commercial and enterprise sales roles from kick-off through offer acceptance, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience at every stage

    • Partner closely with Sales Directors, VP of Sales, Partnerships, and People leadership to deeply understand hiring needs, role requirements, and team dynamics

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified commercial talent through proactive sourcing, industry networking, referrals, and targeted outreach

    • Develop and execute recruiting strategies tailored to the energy industry, with a particular emphasis on attracting candidates with DER, demand response, and clean energy backgrounds

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on the competitive commercial talent market, advising hiring managers on compensation benchmarks, candidate availability, and hiring timelines

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruiting activity in our ATS, and provide regular pipeline reporting to stakeholders

    • Contribute to employer branding initiatives that position Voltus as the destination for top commercial talent in the energy transition

Desired Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a meaningful focus on GTM hiring

    • Experience recruiting within the energy industry is strongly preferred; background in distributed energy resources (DERs), demand response, or clean energy technology is a significant plus

    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior sales leaders and hiring managers, acting as a true strategic partner

    • Excellent sourcing skills with a track record of building pipelines for hard-to-fill, niche commercial roles

    • Strong communication skills. You write clearly, engage candidates authentically, and can represent the Voltus mission with conviction

    • Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent searches in a fast-paced, remote environment

    • Experience with Lever or a comparable ATS

    • You are Bright, Gritty, and Good -  intellectually curious, resilient, and genuinely invested in the success of your teammates and the mission of Voltus

Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).

Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Work Travel Policy.

At Voltus, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer because we recognize that a diverse organization begins with a diverse candidate pool. This means we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of your gender identity, race, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability status, or marital status.
