JOB DESCRIPTION

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $97,000. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.

Role:

This role is responsible for the development of our Regional Local Sales teams. This includes the design, development and facilitation of effective blended learning strategies and programs that build and support a high-performing team. This role will be required to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders to increase sales results and productivity. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evidence-based diagnosis/needs assessment/root cause analysis activities with key members of the sales leadership teams, including delivery of a credible impact analysis that establishes priorities. 

  • Research, design, implementation, and evaluation of Local Sales training programs, i.e. sales onboarding, sales technology, product training, customer experience, account management, and penetration/growth initiative programs. 

  • Apply modern adult learning principles to provide input into the quality and consistency of new and existing learning and development materials; identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will drive continuous improvement. 

  • Design and develop learning tools for a range of platforms (for example but not limited to; workshop, print-based self-study, self-paced web, virtual learning, blended learning) to meet the learner and business needs. 

  • Support Team Selling and Partnership Selling Process through the development & deployment of content, tools, knowledge, and information to accelerate growth. 

  • Ongoing focus and development of prospecting skills and approaches enabling sales teams to increase market share. 

  • Identifying opportunities to support and develop associates & leaders’ skills in various sales technology platforms 

  • Work with sales leaders to develop pricing and margin management strategies & approaches assisting the field achieve profit plan goals. 

  • Develop and use quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, including ROI.

  • Responsible for the coordination, logistics, scheduling, distribution, communication, and set up of sales related learning solutions and experiences.

  • Oversee and maintain training material, curriculum resources, and market a sales training and development calendar. 

  • Recommend and advocate for new and innovative approaches in a variety of delivery channels; partner with Sysco enterprise to leverage resources; manage 3rd party partnerships 

  • Creation, development, and management of content on LMS Platforms. 

  • Video editing and producing of webcasts and podcasts. 

  • Stay current on innovative methods of training delivery, product, sales and industry knowledge. 

  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met. 

  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor. 

  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About You):

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Sales enablement and/or corporate training. 

  • Experience in designing and managing training/development programs, focus in Sales development preferred. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

  • Professional designation in Adult Learning or Coaching an asset. 

  • Experience in designing and managing sales training and development programs (formal and experiential). 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assess organizational needs/culture and implement appropriate interventions 

  • Demonstrate credibility and knowledge of learning platforms, product knowledge, and training materials. 

  • Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. 

  • Aptitude for continuous learning, adapting to shifting priorities, and navigating ambiguous situations. 

  • Solutions oriented problem solver who thinks creatively and has a track record of innovative practices. 

  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills at all levels; getting results with and through others. 

  • Strong project and program management skills and experience; planning, time management, stakeholder, and vendor management. 

  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle is required. Travel within Region (50%).
