The SAP EWM Functional Lead owns the implementation and optimization of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) on SAP S/4HANA, partnering with manufacturing and supply chain teams to deliver scalable warehouse operations. The role requires strong expertise in manufacturing and logistics business processes, with a working understanding of integrations across SAP SCM, MES, PLM, and Master Data Management. The ideal candidate applies SAP Best Practices, deep analytical skills, and technical judgment to design, implement, and support effective solutions, while maintaining high standards for system documentation, procedures, and operational readiness.
In This Role, You Will...
- Solution Ownership: Lead functional design, configuration, validation, and end-to-end testing of SAP solutions supporting engineer-to-order supply chain and manufacturing operations.
- Manufacturing Partnership: Work closely with the manufacturing line to translate real-world operational needs into scalable enterprise application solutions.
- Delivery & Governance: Drive disciplined execution through clear scope, design, testing, cutover, and project documentation, ensuring readiness for deployment and support.
- Collaboration & Enablement: Communicate effectively across teams, facilitate user training, and demonstrate strong ownership of deliverables.
- Issue Management: Proactively track, prioritize, and drive issue resolution through closure.
Qualifications
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA EWM implementation, rollout, and post-go-live support experience.
- EWM Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP EWM including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, production material staging, physical inventory, and high-volume electro-automotive warehouse operations.
- Integration & Master Data: Strong understanding of EWM integrations with PP, QM, MM/IM, EAM/PM, FSM, MES, TM, and third-party warehouse systems; solid grasp of master data and serial, batch, and handling unit management.
- Delivery & Configuration: Proven ability to manage EWM configuration, automatic inbound/outbound processing (ASN/EDI), WOCR, waves, RF, monitoring, and custom developments through functional specifications.
- Execution & Mindset: Self-driven communicator experienced in requirements gathering, blueprinting, UAT, cutover, documentation, and Agile/Waterfall delivery, thriving in fast-paced startup environments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Background in manufacturing, automotive, or autonomous vehicle environments.
- Certifications: SAP EWM certification preferred.
- Additional Skills: Experience with SAP TM is a plus.
