Role Summary

The Support consultant, Lab Platforms is responsible for the operational support, lifecycle management, and data integrity of MODA LIMS system and other lab applications supporting Technical Operations (TOPS), BioAnalytical Sciences (BAS), and other regulated business functions. This role serves as a technical and business subject matter expert for assigned laboratory applications, ensuring systems remain reliable, compliant, inspection-ready, and aligned with GxP and Data Integrity requirements.


Responsibilities

Laboratory Application Support

  • Provide operational support for GxP laboratory enterprise application -- MODA LIMS (EM module) and workstation-based laboratory systems through the IT service management process.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate incident resolution, and ensure continuity of laboratory operations.
  • Understanding of the MODA data model and handling the upgrades
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for business users regarding laboratory application support, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, vendors, and managed service providers to maintain reliable and secure laboratory platforms and applications.
  • Develop and maintain application support documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.

Platform Lifecycle Management

  • Lead and support application lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, refreshes, patching, migrations, and retirement planning.
  • Coordinate vendor activities and consultant resources supporting laboratory platform initiatives.
  • Manage system risks, technical debt, and compliance remediation activities.

Subject Matter Expertise & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned laboratory application, including MODA LIMS GxP and other supported laboratory platforms.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to business stakeholders regarding system capabilities, best practices, and compliance expectations.
  • Partner with laboratory operations, manufacturing, quality, and research teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology optimization.

Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation testing activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that meet business, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives for laboratory platforms and services.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • Hands-on working experience with MODA LIMS (EM module)
  • Experience supporting other laboratory systems or enterprise applications in a regulated GxP environment.
  • Experience supporting application lifecycle management and vendor-supported solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across IT, Quality, and business organizations.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting laboratory informatics applications and laboratory software platforms.
  • Knowledge of FDA, EMA, and GxP regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
