About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as the first dedicated seller, reporting to the CEO and establishing a structured sales function from scratch. Own every stage of the sales cycle from prospecting to signed contract, while helping decide the target buyers and overall commercial approach as the business grows.

What you'll do

- Generate your own pipeline through outbound prospecting rather than relying on inbound leads.

- Manage deals end to end, including discovery, demos, technical validation, proof of concept, negotiation and close.

- Sell to technical teams, founders and enterprise buyers.

- Turn the approach used by the founders into a written, repeatable sales process with clear stage definitions and lead qualification standards.

- Set up CRM infrastructure and build disciplined forecasting practices.

- Work through security reviews, procurement and legal redlines to get contracts signed.

- Shape competitive positioning and proof of concept strategy, including evaluation criteria.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Proven record of closing large enterprise deals, including seven-figure contracts, with full-cycle ownership.

- Enterprise account executive background; experience only at startups is not sufficient.

- Around 3 to 5 years of owning the whole sales cycle, with some of that spent where no sales process yet existed.

- Demonstrable history of self-sourcing pipeline, with specific examples.

- Ability to discuss technical products credibly with technical buyers and translate technical value into business priorities.

- Experience managing commercial complexity such as security reviews, procurement and legal negotiations.

- Systems-minded and autonomous, eager to build a sales motion rather than run an existing one.

Bonus points

- Experience selling infrastructure software, developer tools, observability or compliance platforms.

- Experience selling to both technical and business stakeholders within the same deal cycle.

- Experience shaping competitive proof of concept criteria and winning nuanced enterprise deals.

- Prior experience as a business founder or as one of the first sales hires at a company.

- Experience selling into healthcare or financial services.
