At XDOF, we’re at an inflection point. Frontier labs are racing to build general-purpose robots, and high-quality training data is the bottleneck. We’re building the foundation behind the foundation models — the data collection systems, operational capability, exabyte-scale data warehouse, and software toolchain — to help our partners drive the field forward.

Growing this fast means our books, controls, and reporting have to keep pace. We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager / Director of Accounting to own day-to-day accounting operations and make sure our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and audit-ready — bringing public company rigor and Big 4 discipline to a fast-moving, global technology environment.

What You’ll Do

This role is the bridge between daily transactions and reliable financial reporting we can close, audit, and raise on. Sample projects include:

  • managing daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliations

  • leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met

  • preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports

  • ensuring compliance with GAAP, applicable tax requirements, company policies, and internal controls

  • reviewing financial results, investigating variances, and communicating meaningful insights to leadership

  • coordinating external audits and providing accurate, timely schedules and supporting documentation

  • supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and other financial-planning activities

  • assisting with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and special projects as required

  • implementing and maintaining robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and support business growth

  • leveraging technology solutions to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy

About You

Baseline skills:

  • CPA and/or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role

  • strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

  • demonstrated experience managing month-end and year-end close processes

  • proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • high level of accuracy, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail

You might be a good fit if you:

  • have Big 4 public accounting experience

  • have supported external audits, system implementations, or process-automation initiatives

  • have experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, or international accounting

  • are able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • are very comfortable working in 0→1 environments

  • are mission-driven and passionate about robotics: work at XDOF is fast-paced and constant. We hope you love what you’re going to be doing, because you’ll be doing a lot of it!
