At XDOF, we’re at an inflection point. Frontier labs are racing to build general-purpose robots, and high-quality training data is the bottleneck. We’re building the foundation behind the foundation models — the data collection systems, operational capability, exabyte-scale data warehouse, and software toolchain — to help our partners drive the field forward.
Growing this fast means our books, controls, and reporting have to keep pace. We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager / Director of Accounting to own day-to-day accounting operations and make sure our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and audit-ready — bringing public company rigor and Big 4 discipline to a fast-moving, global technology environment.
What You’ll DoThis role is the bridge between daily transactions and reliable financial reporting we can close, audit, and raise on. Sample projects include:
managing daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliations
leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met
preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports
ensuring compliance with GAAP, applicable tax requirements, company policies, and internal controls
reviewing financial results, investigating variances, and communicating meaningful insights to leadership
coordinating external audits and providing accurate, timely schedules and supporting documentation
supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and other financial-planning activities
assisting with tax filings, regulatory reporting, and special projects as required
implementing and maintaining robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and support business growth
leveraging technology solutions to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
Baseline skills:
CPA and/or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
demonstrated experience managing month-end and year-end close processes
proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
excellent written and verbal communication skills
high level of accuracy, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
You might be a good fit if you:
have Big 4 public accounting experience
have supported external audits, system implementations, or process-automation initiatives
have experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, or international accounting
are able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
are very comfortable working in 0→1 environments
are mission-driven and passionate about robotics: work at XDOF is fast-paced and constant. We hope you love what you’re going to be doing, because you’ll be doing a lot of it!
