About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to own and scale our global accounts payable function as we continue to grow. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will oversee end-to-end procure-to-pay operations, employee expense and corporate card programs, and the systems and controls that support them. You'll lead and develop the AP team, partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders, and drive automation and process improvements to build scalable, efficient operations. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to shape and optimize a critical finance function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Own and scale the end-to-end accounts payable (AP) and procure-to-pay process across global entities, from vendor onboarding and invoice processing through payment execution. Partner with Procurement, Legal, IT, FP&A, and business stakeholders to streamline workflows and support new entities, acquisitions, and integrations.

  • Oversee corporate credit card and expense reimbursement programs, ensuring effective spend controls, policy compliance, accurate reconciliation, and timely reimbursements across entities and currencies.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the AP team, establishing priorities, performance goals, and scalable processes to support continued business growth.

  • Develop and maintain global AP policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring consistent practices, audit readiness, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements in partnership with Tax and internal stakeholders.

  • Own month-, quarter-, and year-end AP close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, aging reviews, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

  • Oversee vendor master data, payment operations, and vendor-related inquiries and escalations. Partner with Procurement and business owners to execute negotiated payment terms, identify early-payment discounts, and optimize working capital.

  • Drive AP systems strategy, automation, and continuous process improvement across NetSuite, Zip, and expense management platforms. Establish KPIs to measure operational performance and lead system implementations, integrations, and enhancements from planning through adoption.

We're looking for someone who has:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, procure-to-pay, and employee expense management, including 3+ years of team leadership, ideally within a high-growth hardware or technology company.

  • Proven experience scaling AP operations and leading end-to-end process improvements and system implementations, from requirements gathering and vendor selection through deployment and adoption.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with NetSuite, AP automation platforms, and corporate card and expense management systems, including spend controls, policy development, and compliance.

  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency AP operations, with a strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, international payments, and applicable tax regulations.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency, reporting tools, and experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, LLMs, Cursor) to automate workflows and improve efficiency while maintaining financial accuracy.

  • Experience operating in or preparing for a SOX-compliant, public-company control environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with Brex, FloQast, Workday, or Ramp.
