About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Robinhood is on a mission to democratize finance for all — lowering barriers and expanding access so everyone can participate in the markets. Since our 2015 launch we've grown into one of the fastest-scaling brokerages ever, and that growth depends on hiring and keeping exceptional people. The Compensation team designs the programs that help Robinhood attract, motivate, and keep that talent as the company scales.

As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you'll own compensation analytics and the systems behind our broad-based base pay and variable comp programs. You'll build the models that drive pay decisions, run the tooling and workflows the People and Recruiting teams depend on, and use automation and AI to improve operations and enhance user experience. You'll operate across analysis, systems, and program execution — and have real ownership from day one.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Chicago, IL office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do
  • Build and maintain compensation models. You'll develop scalable models that support market benchmarking, budget planning, scenario analysis, and data reconciliation, delivering data-driven insights that inform compensation strategy and business decisions.
  • Lead compensation analytics. You'll drive survey participation, job matching, market pricing, and trend analyses to evaluate pay competitiveness and inform salary structures, equity bands, and compensation recommendations across global markets.
  • Design and maintain reporting and trackers. You'll create and maintain compensation trackers, dashboards, and budgets, delivering accurate, timely reporting that stakeholders can rely on.
  • Administer broad-based compensation. You'll support annual merit, promotion, and variable/incentive compensation cycles end to end, including planning, modeling, award generation, payroll/equity reconciliation, and post-cycle analysis.
  • Build and improve compensation systems. You'll maintain and enhance the compensation tooling, job catalog, and databases used by the People and Recruiting teams, and design automations that reduce manual work and error.
  • Support M&A integration. You'll provide compensation analysis and support for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, harmonizing pay structures, and integrating acquired employees into Robinhood's programs.
  • Further AI and automation across the function. You'll use AI and modern tooling to enhance and streamline benchmarking, analysis, communications, and reporting, making processes faster and more accurate.
  • Partner cross-functionally. You'll work with People Partners, HRIS, Finance, and Legal on year-round initiatives and ad-hoc analyses, ensuring clean data flows and clear communication.
What you bring
  • 4–6 years of compensation experience
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling with large datasets
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, Compensation Data, and benchmarking tools
  • Fluency with AI tools and a bias for automating analytical work
  • Experience administering broad-based and variable/incentive compensation
  • Clear communication — you turn complex analysis into actionable recommendations
  • Sharp attention to detail, sound judgment with sensitive data, and strong ownership
What we offer
  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Lifestyle wallet — a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
