About Us:

Founded in 2021, Axion is at the forefront of transforming product quality and customer satisfaction in manufacturing. Our cutting-edge AI-powered platform empowers manufacturers to swiftly identify, thoroughly investigate, and effectively resolve quality issues while simultaneously elevating customer experiences and outcomes.

As trailblazers in end-to-end quality intelligence, we're setting new industry standards. Our innovative approach enables industrial, aerospace, consumer, and medtech manufacturers to harness the power of quality and post-market data, driving down costs and boosting business performance.

Our vision extends beyond mere problem-solving; we're committed to reshaping the future of manufacturing. By seamlessly integrating advanced AI technology with deep industry expertise, Axion is paving the way for smarter, safer, and more efficient production processes across diverse sectors.

Backed by leading investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Amplo, Boeing, and RTX Ventures, Axion is poised to lead the quality revolution in manufacturing.

About the Role:

Axion is looking for a Senior Content Marketer who can make the unglamorous, high-stakes work of manufacturing quality feel as important as it actually is.

Somewhere right now, a quality engineer at one of the world's most consequential manufacturers is staring at a failure they can't explain. A recall that shouldn't have happened. A pattern buried in ten thousand tickets that no one has connected yet. That's the world we work in — and it's full of stories nobody's telling well.

We're looking for a storyteller who can sit across from an engineer, executive, customer, or subject-matter expert, ask the right questions, and turn those conversations into compelling content that makes people who live and breathe quality and engineering think, "finally, someone gets it."

This isn't a role focused on simply producing content. You'll have the opportunity to help define Axion's narrative, build our content strategy from the ground up, and tell the stories that shape how an industry thinks about an emerging category.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turn conversations with customers, executives, engineers, and internal subject-matter experts into compelling LinkedIn posts, case studies, ebooks, campaigns, and other content

  • Translate complex manufacturing, quality, engineering, and technical concepts into clear and engaging stories

  • Own both short- and long-form writing while maintaining a distinctive and authentic Axion voice

  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to brainstorm, accelerate, and scale content creation while maintaining strong editorial judgment and high-quality human-written work

  • Develop content with the full marketing funnel in mind, helping move audiences from initial awareness through consideration and engagement

  • Help define and build Axion's content narrative, voice, and approach from the ground up

  • Interview customers and subject-matter experts to uncover compelling stories, insights, and perspectives

  • Partner with the broader Marketing team and company leadership to identify opportunities for high-impact content

Requirements:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, copywriting, or a closely related writing role

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across both short- and long-form content

  • Strong interviewing skills with the ability to uncover compelling stories and insights from customers and subject-matter experts

  • Ability to understand and translate complex technical topics for different audiences

  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, including audience, positioning, messaging, and the marketing funnel

  • Experience using AI writing and productivity tools thoughtfully to support content creation and scale

  • Ability to operate independently and build structure in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment

  • Experience writing about technical, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or complex B2B topics is a plus

  • Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating range, quality, and storytelling ability

Who You Are:

You're a storyteller and builder who genuinely enjoys the craft of writing. You're naturally curious and investigative — the person who asks "why does that happen?" when everyone else has moved on.

You're comfortable digging into complex technical topics and learning enough to tell the story accurately and compellingly. You know how to interview someone, listen for the interesting part hiding inside a long answer, and ask the follow-up question that gets you to the real story.

You understand that great content isn't just about good writing — it has a purpose. You think about audience, positioning, and where a piece fits within the broader customer journey.

You're comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the opportunity to build. There won't always be a brief, process, or precedent waiting for you. You'll have the trust and ownership to help create those things as Axion grows.

You also use AI thoughtfully. You understand where it can make you faster and more effective, but you don't rely on it to replace your own judgment, curiosity, or voice.

Location: Remote, with preference for candidates near our Brooklyn, NY or California teams

Team: Marketing, reporting to the Global VP of Marketing

Type: Full-time

How We Operate

We work with focus and intention, holding ourselves to a high bar while respecting the need for balance. Axion isn’t a traditional 9 to 5 job, but it’s also not a place that glorifies overwork. We take pride in the work, support each other through hard problems, and make space to recharge.

We’re a highly collaborative team that stays connected throughout the day, often over Slack. We share feedback freely, communicate clearly, and make decisions quickly so we can keep momentum without unnecessary meetings. If you value openness, iteration, and shared problem-solving, you’ll fit right in.

We:

  • Collaborate deeply. Feedback is part of how we build; everyone has a voice, and ideas win on merit.

  • Leave ego at the door. Titles don’t define value—contribution does.

  • Bias toward action. We favor progress over perfection and learn as we go.

  • Communicate with clarity. Direct, transparent, and always in service of the mission.

  • Act like owners. Everyone is accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.

  • Aim for excellence sustainably. We challenge ourselves, support each other, and stay in it for the long game.

If you’re excited to help shape a company redefining how manufacturing operates—and you thrive in a culture built on ownership, clarity, and trust—you’ll feel at home here.

What we Offer
  • Work with cutting-edge AI technology making a tangible impact in manufacturing

  • Collaborative, mission-driven team and supportive leadership

  • Generous time off

  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits

  • Lunch stipend…. And much more
