About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfilment of making music. Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

Finance at most companies is a reporting function. At Suno, it's an operating function. As Sr. Director of Business Finance, you'll own the financial operating system of the company — translating strategy into functional P&Ls, keeping every team honest on their numbers, and running the planning and operating cadence that keeps a fast-growing organization aligned. You'll lead a small team and serve as the finance business partner to every functional lead across GTM, Engineering, Product, and G&A. This is a rare chance to build the financial foundation of a company that's defining a new category of entertainment from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Own functional P&L management across all opex and serve as the trusted finance business partner to every functional lead across GTM, Engineering, Product, and G&A — because helping a generational creative entertainment company understand what it can afford to build starts with giving every team a clear, current picture of their numbers

  • Run the annual planning process end-to-end — headcount planning cycles, templates, calendars, and working sessions — in close coordination with Corporate Finance who sets the overall envelope

  • Drive the monthly and quarterly operating cadence, including QBRs, variance analysis, and the financial narratives that help leadership make fast, well-grounded decisions

  • Lead procurement strategy and vendor management, ensuring Suno spends with discipline as the company scales

What You'll Need

Must-Haves

  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time in FP&A, business finance, or finance business partnering at a high-growth technology company

  • Proven track record running company-wide planning processes — annual budgeting, headcount planning, and operating cadences at scale

  • Strong P&L ownership experience across multiple functions, with the ability to build genuine trust with non-finance partners

  • Exceptional financial modeling skills and comfort turning messy operational data into clean, decision-ready analysis

  • Experience managing and developing finance talent, with a track record of building high-performing small teams

  • A direct, low-ego communication style — equally effective in a QBR with a functional VP and a 1:1 with a new manager trying to understand their budget

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with procurement and vendor management in a high-growth environment

  • Familiarity with music industry deal structures or media/entertainment business models

  • Experience at a company that has scaled ARR rapidly, with firsthand exposure to the financial infrastructure challenges that come with that growth

  • Comfort with financial data tools and the ability to work closely with data and analytics teams on reporting infrastructure
