About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Director of Global Field Operations to own field operations across Temporal’s entire field organization. This leader has formal accountability for operations supporting Sales, Technical Services (Solutions Architects, Developer Success, Services, and Platform Architects), and Partners, across every region and every motion: New Logo, Growth, and Commercial/hybrid.

Regional and functional Field Operations leaders report into this role. You’ll set the global operating model they run on, decide where regional flex makes sense, and give the field one consistent set of standards, metrics, and cadences across the business.

Reporting into the VP of GTM Operations, you’ll partner with senior Sales, Technical Services, and Partner leadership, along with Finance, GTM Systems, Analytics and Marketing, to drive territory design, quota and capacity planning, coverage models, pipeline and forecasting hygiene, and the operating cadence. That includes the problems specific to a consumption business: how workload ramps show up in forecasts, how technical resources get matched to deals, and how partner-sourced pipeline gets credited.

We’re building a GTM Operations function that is AI-native from the ground up. We expect this leader to use AI tools today to speed up analysis, surface insights, and scale operational work, and to set the bar for how their team does the same.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global field operations function, leading and developing regional Field Operations leaders and building out coverage for regions and functions as the business grows.

  • Serve as the senior operations partner to Sales, Technical Services, and Partner leadership, delivering insights on pipeline generation, account penetration, coverage, and productivity.

  • Define the global operating cadence for the field (forecast calls, pipeline reviews, QBRs, account planning), with clear standards for what’s global and where regions can flex.

  • Own global pipeline visibility and forecasting hygiene across all motions and regions, including large complex enterprise deals, consumption workload ramps, Commercial/self-serve pipeline, and partner-sourced and partner-influenced deals.

  • Drive annual and in-year planning for the full field: capacity plans, territory carving and re-carving (including account transitions), and quota allocation across New Logo, Growth, and Commercial, in close partnership with Finance and GTM Strategy.

  • Own Partner operations: program mechanics, deal registration and attribution rules, co-sell processes, cloud marketplace transactions, and reporting on partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline.

  • Conduct global white-space and TAM analysis to identify high-propensity targets and inform market entry, coverage model, and org design decisions.

  • Analyze field performance (win/loss, deal velocity, conversion, quota attainment, SA and partner involvement) across regions and segments, and translate findings into clear recommendations for executive leadership; use AI tools to find patterns at scale.

  • Partner with GTM Analytics to set global standards for Salesforce and Omni reporting, owning one consistent set of field metrics and dashboards across Sales, Technical Services, and Partners.

  • Identify process gaps across the field and partner with GTM Systems to scope and implement automation, including AI-assisted workflows that cut manual effort and expand coverage.

  • Represent field operations in executive planning forums, giving leadership a single, trusted view of field health.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Field Operations in B2B enterprise technology or software, including leading a multi-region team of operations leaders.

  • Proven track record owning operations for multiple GTM functions at once, ideally Sales, pre-sales/Solutions Architecture, Services or Customer Success, and Partners.

  • Experience supporting multiple sales motions at once: net-new logo hunting, growth/expansion within existing accounts, and self-serve or hybrid AE-assisted motions.

  • Demonstrated AI-native working style: hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion AI, or purpose-built GTM AI tools) to speed up analysis, automate repeatable ops tasks, generate insights from large datasets, and improve the speed and quality of decision-making. We want to see how AI is built into how you and your team work today.

  • Experience operating across AMER, EMEA, and APJ, with sound judgment on where global consistency matters and where regional differences need room.

  • Hands-on experience with territory design, account scoring, quota allocation, and capacity modeling for both quota-carrying and technical/overlay roles.

  • Experience building partner operations, including deal registration, attribution, co-sell, and cloud marketplace motions.

  • Strong Salesforce expertise, with a track record of building reporting and metric definitions that hold up across regions, segments, and functions.

  • Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership

  • Strong cross-functional partner to Sales, Technical Services, Partners, Finance, GTM Systems, and Marketing leadership.

  • Comfortable presenting recommendations to executive leadership and holding a position under pushback.

  • Able to operate both strategically and tactically depending on business needs.

  • Bonus: experience operating in a consumption-based business

  • Bonus: experience evaluating or deploying AI-powered GTM tools and driving adoption across a global field organization
