About the Role

As the Senior Director, Infrastructure & Network, you will lead a critical function within Qualys’ CIO organization, driving infrastructure strategy, platforms, and operational excellence. Reporting to the VP, Infrastructure and Network, you will modernize infrastructure, balancing reliability, scalability, and innovation to support Qualys’ growth and digital evolution. You will shape the future-state operating model, mentor teams, and enable enterprise-wide business outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Partner with the VP, Infrastructure and Network, and CIO to translate enterprise technology vision into actionable infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Define and drive long-term Infrastructure & Network vision, championing cloud adoption and automation.
  • Advise business and technology leaders, crafting impactful solutions and roadmaps.
  • Execute enterprise-wide technology strategy to deliver business value.

Core Infrastructure & Operations

  • Lead execution of complex infrastructure and network programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure (data centers, cloud platforms, servers, storage, networking).
  • Ensure network reliability and security (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless) with 99.99% uptime.
  • Enhance ITSM and ITIL-aligned processes and tools.
  • Drive disaster recovery and risk mitigation.
  • Drive metrics dashboard development and reporting.
  • Manage local budgets and contracts as needed.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

  • Adopt emerging technologies to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Integrate innovative solutions for competitive advantage and enhanced employee experience.
  • Evolve Infrastructure & Network toward an agile, service-oriented model.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to embed security in strategies.
  • Use data and metrics to improve services.

People & Vendor Leadership

  • Lead high-performing teams, focusing on coaching and talent retention.
  • Develop workforce strategies for cloud, automation, and platform engineering.
  • Manage budgets and resources for cost-effective solutions.
  • Build strategic vendor partnerships for value delivery.
  • Support leadership development and diversity initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in computer science, IT, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 16+ years in IT infrastructure and network management.
    • 10+ years in a director-level role.
    • Proven success in leading complex programs.
    • Experience aligning strategies with executive vision.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, virtualization).
    • Expertise in network architecture (SD-WAN, MPLS, firewalls, load balancers).
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and compliance (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and project management (Agile, Waterfall, ITIL).
    • Excellent communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: PMP, CISSP, CCNP, or ITIL preferred.

The salary range for this position is $215,000 - $255,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, and work location. Please note this range reflects base salary and does not include incentive compensation or potential equity grants. We also offer a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
