Ready to be a Titan?
The ServiceTitan mobile app is the tool field technicians rely on every day, across commercial and residential work and every vertical we serve. As Senior Director of Engineering, Mobile, you will lead the engineering organization behind it and own its performance, reliability, and release quality, along with the roadmap that modernizes the app for the years ahead. This is one of the most operationally consequential engineering leadership roles in Field Enablement: when the app works, technicians get through their day, and when it doesn’t, they feel it immediately.

We’re looking for a mobile engineering leader who consistently turns a broad set of priorities into reliable software, shipped on a predictable cadence, at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the mobile engineering organization through your engineering managers, owning its processes, priorities, and long-term goals.
  • Own the performance, reliability, and release quality of the app, and hold the organization to a high bar on all three.
  • Drive the modernization roadmap for our native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) apps while keeping today’s app stable for the technicians who depend on it.
  • Establish and sustain a predictable release cadence, with the engineering discipline and quality practices to support it.
  • Direct engineering effort toward business outcomes rather than activity, and keep the team aligned as company and org priorities shift.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and the ServiceTitan leadership team to set direction, and push for innovation in the product experience.
  • Mentor and develop your Senior Engineering Managers and Engineering Managers into strong leaders.
  • Partner with Recruiting to attract and hire top mobile talent, including interviewing candidates and co-owning outreach such as tech talks.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, Product Managers, executives, customers, and partners.

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering organizations and managing managers.
  • A track record of shipping reliable, high-scale mobile applications on iOS and Android on a predictable cadence.
  • Expert-level knowledge of mobile platforms and app development, including mobile performance and reliability.
  • Experience setting and owning quality standards for a mobile app, including crash-free and startup-time goals, production monitoring, staged rollouts and release gates, and a test-automation strategy.
  • Experience leading a mobile platform through significant modernization or re-architecture.
  • Strong technical credibility: you can engage on architecture and design decisions and earn the respect of senior engineers.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
