We are looking for a Senior EHS Specialist who can independently lead complex programs and partner strategically across engineering, manufacturing and integration teams. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with the ability to influence and coach others, translating EHS requirements into scalable, innovative practices.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View, CA office with occasional travel to Fremont, CA and Hollister, CA.
What you will do:
Own and lead key EHS programs (e.g., hazardous energy control, machine safety, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene, emergency response and contractor management)
Lead complex risk assessments and design review, provide EHS input during new process development, facility buildouts and equipment commissioning
Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for assigned sites or functions, ensuring alignment with Wisk’s corporate standards and regulatory requirements
Partner with leadership to set annual EHS objectives, metrics and performance targets
Conduct and present incident investigations, root-cause analyses and corrective action plans to management
Mentor operational teams in regulatory interpretation, hazard recognition and risk reduction practices
Develop and deliver advanced EHS training modules, evaluate effectiveness through observation and data
Manage vendor and contractor EHS compliance during maintenance, construction and integration activities
Support environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air permits, stormwater and sustainability initiatives
Collaborate with the Safety Management System teams to integrate risk data, safety assurance and human factors insights
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or a related field
7+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, R&D, aerospace or advanced technology environments
Proven record of independently leading EHS programs and implementing risk reduction projects
Strong understanding of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA and related regulatory frameworks
Skilled in risk assessment methods (FMEA, Job Hazard Analysis) and incident investigation techniques
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of an organization
Proficiency with digital EHS tools, data dashboards, and document management systems
This role will require 10-15% of travel

Pay range the company expects to pay: $140,000 - $170,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
