  • Liaise with colocation facility engineering teams regarding electrical system designs
  • Liaise with vendor hardware engineering teams regarding hardware electrical design requirements
  • Lead selection of rack power distribution systems (busway, PDUs, rack-level power shelves) during the hardware design, ensuring designs not only meet our current needs but can scale with us
  • Develop power monitoring tooling and systems to aggregate electrical monitoring information (branch circuit, PDU, and rack-level) and provide alerting capabilities
  • Coordinate with operations on monitoring thresholds, failure modes and alerting
  • Assist in troubleshooting cause of failures and work to prevent them in the future
  • Work closely with Infra teams such as DC Operations and Machine Design to ensure facility readiness for next-generation solutions
What We'll Expect From You:
  • Technical Degree (BS Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Power Systems Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating power infrastructure at scale (including experience with utility service entrances, medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, ATS/STS, busway, PDUs, RPPs, and rack-level power distribution)
  • An in-depth understanding of facility power topologies and technologies (N, N+1, 2N, and distributed redundant designs; 415/240V and 480V distribution; high-voltage DC and rack-level power shelves; etc.)
  • Strong understanding of power quality, load management, and selective coordination principles in mission critical environments and knowledge of best practices around electrical monitoring and alerting
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, UL) and arc flash safety practices
  • Clear communication and collaboration across key stakeholders
  • An insatiable passion for constant improvement
Compensation Range:
  • $130,000 - $160,000
