About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as a hands-on senior engineer who owns the customer-facing side of a web application, carrying features from first prototype through release with care for polish and speed. Work side by side with leadership and cross-functional colleagues while raising the bar for code quality and coaching other engineers.

What you'll do

- Design and build full-stack features, including refined user interfaces, dependable APIs and scalable backend services.

- Take product features from early prototype to launch, paying close attention to responsiveness, usability and visual finish.

- Collaborate with product, sales, marketing and leadership to connect third-party generative AI models through their APIs and open up new use cases.

- Translate design mockups into polished, production-ready interfaces.

- Lead large product initiatives from concept to release, including upcoming launches.

- Define coding conventions and quality practices for the team, and coach colleagues through your own example.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- 5 to 10 years of professional experience delivering full-stack web products.

- Industry experience with TypeScript and AWS, including React front ends and Node.js back ends.

- Background building full-stack systems that scale, such as data-heavy processing, search and retrieval, or background job workflows.

- At least 12 months of professional experience building LLM-based or agent-based products at a startup or AI-focused company; personal projects do not count.

- Startup experience; a career spent only at large technology companies is not a fit.

- A portfolio of shipped interfaces or products that demonstrates strong product sense and visual taste.

- Solid computer science fundamentals, including system design, algorithms and application architecture.

- A formal computer science or engineering degree.

- Fluent English for reading, writing and speaking.

- A record as a hands-on technical lead who raises standards and helps mid-level engineers grow.

- Ability to work on-site five days a week in a fast-paced startup and start in the office right away.

Bonus points

- Familiarity with working on media or video technology.

- Experience with consumer-facing generative AI products.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
