Our customers include the fastest-growing digital health companies, technology companies, institutional investment firms, consulting firms and AI Labs. We are backed by top marketplace investors and operators of companies like DoorDash, Airbnb, Affirm.

What we believe

Human knowledge is the world's most valuable asset. And yet, despite being more interconnected than ever, most knowledge still remains stuck in our heads, inaccessible and underutilized. Our vision is to make human knowledge easily accessible and infinitely scalable by building tools for the new age knowledge economy.

About the role

We're hiring our first dedicated iOS engineer to build a mobile experience that puts Office Hours in the hands of experts everywhere. This is a true ground-floor opportunity: you'll shape the app itself, from its architecture to its craft to how it feels to use, and help grow a mobile team from here.

You'll have real ownership from the start, making the foundational technical and product decisions that shape how the app is built and where it goes.

We're looking for a deeply product-minded engineer who cares about user experience as much as code. You have a real eye for polish and interaction detail, you sweat the small things that make an app feel effortless, and you partner naturally with design and product to get there.

We build with AI coding tools, and we want someone who's leaning into them, using them to prototype, iterate, and ship faster without compromising on craft.

What you’ll do
  • Own and shape our iOS app end to end: architecture, state, navigation, offline, and App Store delivery

  • Design and build polished, high-craft user experiences in Swift and SwiftUI, in close partnership with design and product

  • Make foundational technical decisions early, and re-architect where it's the right call, to set the app up to scale

  • Use AI coding tools to prototype and ship quickly, raising both velocity and quality

  • Partner with product and design leadership to take early versions of the app to production and beyond

  • Help establish the standards, tooling, and practices for mobile as we grow the team

What you bring
  • You have deep, hands-on experience building and shipping consumer iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI

  • You have a strong product sensibility and a passion for polished, delightful UX, with real opinions about interaction, motion, and detail

  • You're comfortable owning architecture decisions early, with the judgment to know when to evolve vs. rebuild

  • You embrace AI coding tools and use them to move faster without sacrificing craft

  • You have a track record of shipping App Store apps that users genuinely love

  • You're a self-starter who embraces ambiguity, a fast-paced environment, and the ground floor of a growing team

Tech Stack
  • Mobile: Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency

  • Tooling: Xcode, App Store Connect (you'll help shape our CI/CD and release tooling)

  • Workflow: GitHub, Slack, Notion, Figma, Linear

  • Back end (not required for this role): Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, OpenSearch, Temporal

Bonus Points
  • You've been an early or founding engineer on a consumer app that scaled

  • Experience integrating AI/LLM-powered features, including streaming responses into the UI

  • Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex

  • An eye for design systems and accessibility, plus fluency with design tools like Figma

  • Native Android development experience

  • Familiarity with modern Swift Concurrency, on-device performance tuning, and mobile CI/CD (e.g., Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions)

Our Benefits
  • Competitive salary & stock options

  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage

  • $100 monthly fitness stipend

  • Flexible vacation time, regular company holidays

  • Company retreats (Tahoe, San Diego, Mendocino, Mexico City)

  • Parent-friendly, remote work, and paid family leave
