About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Digital Product Manager who will serve as the product leader for the modernization of our enterprise authentication platform, defining how customers securely authenticate across digital experiences today and in the future.
This role is intended for a senior product leader who has previously owned or led an enterprise authentication, identity, IAM/CIAM, or credential platform and has demonstrated experience building and modernizing authentication solutions at scale. You will own the multi-year strategy and transformation roadmap spanning passkeys/FIDO2, passwordless authentication, biometrics, multi-factor authentication, device trust, adaptive authentication, credential lifecycle management, and authentication orchestration.
You will lead product managers responsible for major authentication capabilities and partner with senior leaders across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, fraud, risk, design, and digital channels to transform strategy into an integrated authentication platform.
Authentication sits at the intersection of customer trust, fraud prevention, security, and digital experience. The decisions made by this leader will shape the authentication architecture and customer experience for years to come.
This is an opportunity to lead an enterprise-scale transformation from legacy authentication toward a modern, phishing-resistant and passwordless authentication ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
Enterprise Authentication Strategy & Platform Ownership
  • Own the enterprise authentication product vision, target state, multi-year strategy, and transformation roadmap.

  • Establish the platform strategy across web, mobile, APIs, credentials, authentication orchestration, and recovery.
  • Determine modernization sequencing, platform priorities, dependencies, investment needs, and legacy capability retirement.
  • Translate business, customer, fraud, security, and regulatory requirements into scalable enterprise authentication capabilities.
  • Establish product-health measures and outcomes across security, adoption, reliability, customer friction, fraud effectiveness, and cost.

Authentication, Identity & Security Leadership
  • Define enterprise strategies for:

    • Passwordless authentication
    • Multi-factor and adaptive authentication
    • Biometrics
    • Device binding and device trust
    • Token and credential lifecycle management
    • Risk-based and step-up authentication
    • Authentication orchestration and recovery
  • Drive decisions that balance customer experience, authentication assurance, fraud prevention, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, fraud, architecture, IAM/CIAM, and risk leaders to establish authentication standards and controls.
  • Evaluate emerging authentication technologies and determine their role within the target-state platform.

Executive Leadership & Organizational Influence
  • Lead enterprise decision-making across multiple authentication products, platforms, and technology organizations.
  • Influence senior executives on strategy, platform investment, risk, modernization priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, fraud, risk, legal, operations, and channel product teams.
  • Communicate complex authentication strategies through clear executive storytelling, metrics, and recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop product managers, including the Lead Digital Product Manager supporting major authentication workstreams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct experience with authentication, identity, IAM/CIAM, cybersecurity, or credential platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading an enterprise authentication, identity, IAM/CIAM, or credential platform supporting multiple applications, channels, or customer journeys.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a significant authentication or identity platform modernization or transformation, not solely individual feature delivery.
  • Experience leading complex, enterprise-scale initiatives across multiple technology and business organizations.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience implementing passkeys, FIDO2/WebAuthn, passwordless authentication, biometrics, device binding, or adaptive authentication at scale.
