As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering supporting the Optum REAL project, you will lead a team of full-stack and data engineers dedicated to designing and delivering cloud healthcare analytic solutions and enterprise-scale web applications. - Lead a team of full-stack and data engineers supporting the Optum REAL initiative to design, build, and deliver cloud healthcare analytic solutions and enterprise-scale web applications
- Integrate enterprise AI tools and modern capabilities into development workflows, establishing strategic development goals and actively removing barriers to accelerate team adoption
- Champion the ethical use of technology and AI solutions by embedding transparency, security, fairness, and accountability throughout the entire software development lifecycle
- Strategically leverage modern technology and AI capabilities to solve complex analytics challenges, unlock operational efficiencies, and deliver tangible business value
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and senior architects to define technical roadmaps, architectural designs, scoping, and release plans
- Oversee the complete data engineering lifecycle, including proof of concepts, design, development, testing, cloud deployment, continuous integration, and data governance
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, aligning hiring and skill development with emerging technology competencies
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and proactively propose architectural solutions for potential vulnerabilities

Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of IT software engineering experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE technologies, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful microservices, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Spring Data JPA
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams and owning software product delivery end-to-end
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with React JS/Redux, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and CI/CD automation pipelines
- 4+ years of experience managing software delivery using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
- 4+ years of experience building cloud-native applications (AWS/Azure) and utilizing automated deployment tools (eg, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, adopting, and leading the integration of AI tools and modern automated workflows to drive engineering team productivity
- Experience building high-volume transaction systems and customer-facing healthcare web applications
- Experience with end-to-end testing, integration testing, and test data coordination
- Deep understanding of data governance, security standards, and healthcare domain knowledge
- Proven solid design thinking skills and proven ability to evaluate and deploy emerging technologies securely and ethically
