Kikoff: The Fintech Powering Financial Security at Scale
Kikoff is a profitable, pre-IPO fintech company on a mission to empower everyone to achieve financial security. With record revenue growth in 2025 and a unicorn valuation, we've built a suite of products that help millions of people build credit, access liquidity, and save money.
We're scaling fast. Join us if you want to build something meaningful and help millions of people move forward financially.

Why Kikoff:

This is a consumer fintech startup, and you will be working with serial entrepreneurs who have built strong consumer brands and innovative products. We value extreme ownership, clear communication, a strong sense of craftsmanship, and the desire to create lasting work and work relationships. Yes, you can build an exciting business AND have real-life real-customer impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to help shape the future of Kikoff’s main credit building app. This product is central to our mission of helping millions of Americans build stronger credit.

This role has three main areas of focus:

  1. Grow the app. Improve the journey from download to active, paying member, including the app store, onboarding, identity verification, and the first credit action.
  2. Own payments and monetization. Build subscription, payment, and billing experiences that are fast, reliable, and easy to trust.
  3. Improve the mobile platform. Evolve the architecture, tooling, and release process for a Flutter app used by millions, helping a growing team ship faster without sacrificing quality.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, growth marketers, data scientists, and engineers. Success is not just about shipping features. It is about improving acquisition, retention, and revenue in measurable ways.

What You’ll Be Doing

Growth and acquisition

  • Own and optimize the mobile funnel from store → signup → onboarding/IDV → first credit action; run experiments and measure outcomes.
  • Build acquisition plumbing: deep links, attribution, push/in-app messaging, and analytics instrumentation.

Payments and monetization

  • Own subscription + billing UX (plans, upgrades, payment methods, autopay, history).
  • Build resilient payment flows (Stripe/Tabapay): retries, declines, recovery, and edge-case handling with fintech-grade security.

Mobile platform

  • Evolve Flutter architecture, modularity, and performance/observability for multi-team scale.
  • Improve CI/CD, releases, codegen, testing, and the design system/component library to speed experimentation.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 5 years of mobile development experience, with a record of building and scaling production apps on iOS or Android.
  • Growth impact: You have owned onboarding, activation, or monetization funnels for a consumer app and can point to metrics you improved.
  • Mobile architecture: You understand state management, patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture, and the realities of maintaining a large codebase.
  • Production ownership: You have shipped consumer apps at scale, handled crashes and edge cases, and supported features across many releases.
  • Platform expertise: You have a solid foundation in iOS with Swift, UIKit, or SwiftUI, or Android with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Data fluency: You are comfortable with analytics tools, funnel analysis, and experiment results, and you use evidence to make decisions.
  • Testing mindset: Unit, integration, and UI tests are a normal part of how you build.
  • API integration: You have experience with REST APIs, asynchronous operations, error states, and reliable network layers.
Base Range
$244,000$292,000 USD
