Why Harvey

At Harvey, we’re transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we’re reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come.

This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We’re scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched.

Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission — operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you.

At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.

Role Overview

Harvey is hiring a Senior Motion Designer to define how motion shows up across Harvey’s brand, product storytelling, launch moments, web experiences, customer education, and executive-facing creative work. The role will sit within Brand and Design, reporting into our Head of Motion. This is a new senior IC role intended to raise the motion craft bar while still operating with the low-ego, hands-on generalist posture expected of Harvey’s senior brand hires. The role should build on existing motion and brand hiring standards, including deep portfolio review, visible process, cross-functional collaboration with PMM and Marketing, and practical assessment of prioritization under ambiguity. The person in this role will help Harvey turn complex AI product ideas into clear, memorable, and reusable motion systems that can scale across product launches, web surfaces, campaign assets, Academy or education assets, events, and internal/external storytelling.

What You’ll Do

Support the motion design language for Harvey’s brand across launch videos, product explainers, web and campaign moments, event assets, social cuts, sales enablement, and other high-leverage creative surfaces.

Create motion concepts, storyboards, style-frames, animatics, and final motion assets that make complex AI workflows feel clear, premium, and unmistakably Harvey.

Partner closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Product Design, Creative Operations, and other GTM stakeholders to translate positioning, product context, and user needs into motion narratives that can ship quickly.

Develop reusable motion systems, templates, animation principles, and production workflows so Harvey can scale motion output without reinventing the wheel on every request.

Use judgment to scope work appropriately across polished hero moments, scrappy launch needs, quick-turnaround edits, and longer-term brand-system investments.

Raise the craft bar for motion while remaining willing to do the unglamorous but important production work required in a fast-moving creative team.

What You Have

Experience building motion for brand, product, marketing, launch, or education contexts, ideally in a product-led technology company or high-growth SaaS environment.

A strong portfolio of motion work that demonstrates storytelling, art direction, animation craft, visual systems thinking, and the ability to explain the process behind finished work.

Deep fluency in motion design tools and workflows such as After Effects, Figma, Cinema 4D, Lottie, Rive, code-adjacent motion, or comparable production tools.

A demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts visually without overloading the viewer, including strong instincts for pacing, sequencing, hierarchy, narration, and accessibility.

Strong cross-functional communication skills, including the ability to clarify a brief, align with PMM or Marketing goals, handle competing feedback, and prioritize multiple stakeholder requests.
