Senior Product Designer

Join our rapidly growing AI startup as a Senior Product Designer and own the end-to-end product experience. This role is for an exceptional designer who can pair strategic UX thinking with hands-on execution, turning complex AI functionality into intuitive, accessible interfaces. You'll work directly with founders to define product design strategy and ship high-quality work independently.

Key challenges you'll solve:

• Design Velocity — Shipping high-quality product design work independently without external dependencies

• Customer Experience Gaps — Identifying and solving usability issues that impact customer success and retention

This is an opportunity to have outsized impact on the product while building expertise in AI product design at a scaling startup.

• Q1 Objectives: Lead a complete redesign of our product

• Year 1 Objectives: Establish design systems and processes that enable faster iteration and measurably improve the user experience

• User Experience Strategy — Conduct user research and usability analysis to identify friction points and optimization opportunities

• Interface Design — Design intuitive, accessible interfaces that make complex AI functionality approachable for technical and non-technical users

• Design Systems — Build and maintain scalable design systems that enable consistent, efficient product development

• Prototyping & Testing — Create interactive prototypes and conduct user testing to validate design decisions

• Onboarding Experience — Design seamless onboarding flows that reduce time-to-value and improve activation rates

• In-App Communication — Create clear, helpful UI copy, tooltips, empty states, and error messaging

• Help & Success Materials — Design in-product guidance and documentation that enable customer growth

• 4–6 years of product design experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership

• Proven track record designing for B2B SaaS or AI/ML products with complex user workflows

• Portfolio demonstrating ownership of product design projects from strategy to execution

• Design Software — Advanced skills in Figma

• Prototyping — Experience with interactive prototyping tools and a basic understanding of HTML/CSS

• Strategic Vision — Aligns design decisions with business objectives and user needs

• Systems Thinking — Creates scalable design frameworks that grow with the product and organization

• Quality Standards — Maintains exceptionally high craft while moving quickly in a startup environment

• Self-Sufficiency — Ships complete product design work independently without requiring external support
