THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to take a leading role in crafting and optimizing the user experience across all of our platforms, including web and mobile. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and efficient user interfaces that align with our business goals. As a senior designer, your work will be instrumental in shaping the future of our platform, improving usability, and delivering exceptional user experiences that delight our customers.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Take the lead in designing key features and products for our platform, focusing on mobile-first, responsive design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Engineers, other Designers) to translate business needs and user insights into compelling designs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the design process and workflow, helping to establish best practices for design within Indie Campers.
  • Drive the design of scalable and reusable design systems to ensure consistency across all user touchpoints.
  • Conduct user research and usability tests to gather feedback and refine designs to improve the user experience.
  • Stay ahead of design trends and tools, leveraging new insights to evolve Indie Campers’ digital products.
  • Mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team.
  • Create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate your design vision to stakeholders.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful, user-centered, high-visibility design work across web and mobile platforms, specifically with an element of e-commerce.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is essential.
  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with proficiency in prototyping and wireframing.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles and best practices, with a strong focus on improving usability and driving engagement for e-commerce platforms.
  • Proven ability to build and manage scalable, reusable design systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working closely with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality digital products.
  • Ability to turn complex problems into simple and elegant design solutions that balance user needs with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design decisions and influencing stakeholders.
  • (Nice to have) Experience in the travel and tourism industry is a plus.
  • (Nice to have) Familiarity with frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
