Senior Product Manager – Lending

Build the Future of Lending

As a Senior Product Manager, you will shape and scale modern lending products inside a regulated banking environment - rethinking how loans are originated, decisioned, and delivered. This role is about creating durable, intelligent products that unlock growth, improve credit quality, and remove friction across the lending lifecycle.

You'll work on initiatives that are bigger than any one team - modernizing workflows, integrating AI, simplifying complexity, and designing systems that enable scale.

If you're energized by solving meaningful problems in financial services and want to help redefine what a modern lending platform can look like, this role is for you.

What You'll Own

  • Define and drive product strategy for high-impact lending products.
  • Translate ambiguous business goals into clear product vision and measurable outcomes.
  • Apply Jobs-to-be-Done thinking and systems-level problem solving to uncover real customer and operational pain points.
  • Lead discovery, experimentation, and validation before committing to build.
  • Design products that balance innovation with regulatory and risk expectations in a banking environment.
  • Partner deeply with technology, credit, operations, and compliance to deliver scalable, high-impact products.
  • Leverage AI and modern tooling to improve decisioning, automation, data visibility, and workflow efficiency.
  • Continuously measure impact and iterate based on outcomes.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years in product management, ideally within fintech, lending, embedded finance, or regulated financial services.
  • Direct experience with consumer or commercial lending programs, including familiarity with loan origination, underwriting workflows, and servicing lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of government-guaranteed lending programs (e.g., SBA 7(a), 504, USDA) and commercial lending products such as working capital and equipment finance.
  • Experience supporting or building fintech lending products, including partnerships with third-party originators, embedded lending platforms, or BaaS lending models.
  • A strategic thinker who sees systems, not just features.
  • Comfortable working with AI, APIs, automation tools, and modern product platforms.
  • Energized by ambiguity and motivated by building products that meaningfully change how work gets done.
  • Able to challenge assumptions and think beyond traditional banking processes.
  • Outcome-driven and intellectually curious.
  • Collaborative and influential across executive, technical, and operational audiences.

The responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive and may be changed at any time.

Salary range: $86,000 – $145,000

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.  Pathward offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid time off, and more.
