About the team

The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. We combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of our customers' needs to design and build unified, intuitive, and scalable products. As a team, we thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, constantly iterating and pushing boundaries to deliver exceptional product experiences.

The Lending team is building the future of credit at Airwallex. We are focused on creating simple, scalable, and high-impact lending experiences for businesses, spanning both embedded lending and first-party lending use cases. This is a highly strategic area for Airwallex, with the opportunity to solve complex customer problems at the intersection of product, risk, data, operations, and commercial strategy.

What you'll do

As Senior Product Manager, Lending, you will own a critical part of Airwallex’s lending product portfolio and help shape how businesses access credit through our platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, credit risk, legal, compliance, operations, data, and commercial teams to build products that are intuitive for customers and robust for the business.

You will be responsible for identifying customer pain points, defining product strategy for your area, and driving execution from concept through launch and iteration. This role is ideal for someone who is excited by ambiguity, motivated by customer impact, and energised by solving hard problems in a fast-moving and regulated environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a key area within Airwallex’s lending and credit product suite

  • Partner with customers, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand customer problems, validate opportunities, and identify the right segments to serve

  • Translate complex credit, regulatory, operational, and technical requirements into simple, scalable product experiences

  • Work closely with engineering and design to define solutions, prioritise trade-offs, and deliver high-quality products with speed and rigor

  • Partner with credit risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure products are commercially effective and operationally sound

  • Help shape embedded lending and first-party lending propositions, taking new ideas from concept to launch

  • Define success metrics, analyse product and portfolio performance, and use data to improve conversion, customer experience, unit economics, and risk outcomes

  • Stay close to market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in SME banking, credit, and embedded finance

  • Strong product judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and first-principles thinking to make decisions

  • Ability to thrive in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic achievement

Preferred qualifications

AI Engineering

Our SF AI Engineering team at Airwallex is building production-grade AI that automates the hardest parts of global finance — from payments and onboarding to reconciliation, bookkeeping, and tax. Sitting on top of our proprietary global payments infrastructure and massive real-time transaction datasets, we design and ship vertical AI systems — from LLM-powered copilots and agentic workflows to fine-tuned models — that reach customers quickly and at scale. We’re a small, senior, zero-ego group with high ownership: engineers work end to end from problem framing and experimentation through to deployment and evals, using the right tool for the job to turn deep AI work into visible, shipped impact.
