Parachute Health is transforming post-acute care through the leading digital ordering platform for medical equipment and supplies. We replace the outdated, error-prone paper and fax process, which negatively impacts over 30 million patients annually, with a system that’s 10 times faster. Our platform connects a vast network of Home Medical Equipment (HME) providers, clinicians, and payors across all 50 states, ensuring millions of patients get the life-saving products they need quickly and efficiently.

Join our team and make a difference in patient care.

About the Role

You will own one of the most critical and interconnected parts of the Parachute platform: ensuring clinicians, suppliers, patients, and payors have accurate, timely, and actionable coverage information at the point of care. Eligibility & Benefits sits at the intersection of integrations, data models, workflows, and downstream clinical and operational decisions—making this a highly systems-oriented product space.

You will be responsible for building and evolving Parachute’s E&B capabilities, supporting new payor launches, and expanding integrations that power eligibility checks, benefit interpretation, and downstream workflows. You will operate in a highly regulated, B2B healthcare environment and become a subject-matter expert in the payor product space, partnering closely with Engineering, Product Design, Operations, and external payor partners.

This role will balance product strategy, discovery, and execution across both 0→1 initiatives and scaling core platform functionality.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the Eligibility & Benefits product area, including vision, roadmap, and execution
  • Define and evolve Parachute’s E&B strategy to support new payor launches, expanded lines of business, and increasingly complex coverage rules
  • Translate payor requirements, regulatory constraints, and operational needs into clear product direction and sequenced delivery plans
  • Define MVPs and release slices that optimize for time-to-value while maintaining platform integrity and scalability
  • Establish and track success metrics for accuracy, coverage confidence, operational efficiency, and downstream conversion

Discovery & Customer Understanding

  • Lead discovery with payors, providers, suppliers, and internal operations teams to deeply understand E&B workflows and pain points
  • Partner with Product Design to run research, validate assumptions, and iterate toward usable, trustworthy solutions
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear problem statements and decision-ready artifacts
  • Become a trusted internal expert on eligibility standards, benefit structures, and payor-specific nuances

Delivery & Execution

  • Partner closely with Engineering to scope, sequence, and deliver E&B functionality across integrations, APIs, and user-facing workflows
  • Support new payor launches by defining required E&B capabilities, data mappings, and operational readiness
  • Manage dependencies and tradeoffs across payor, platform, and downstream product areas
  • Build and maintain product artifacts including PRDs, workflow diagrams, integration specs, and release documentation
  • Ensure E&B solutions are resilient, observable, and designed for iteration as payor requirements evolve

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work in tight partnership with Product Design, Engineering, Operations, and Client Success to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors (e.g., clearinghouses, payors, integration partners) to align technical and product requirements
  • Communicate product decisions clearly and proactively, creating shared understanding across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Represent the E&B product area in planning, prioritization, and escalation discussions

Qualifications

  • Product Management Experience: 4–7+ years of product management (or equivalent) experience
  • Systems Thinking Background: Experience owning or contributing to products that involve interconnected systems, shared platforms, complex data flows, or multi-step workflows (e.g., platforms, integrations, infra-adjacent products, marketplaces, fintech, healthcare, or enterprise SaaS)
  • Healthcare & Payor Expertise: Experience in healthcare or adjacent regulated industries is strongly preferred; familiarity with eligibility, benefits, claims, or authorization workflows is a plus
  • Complex Problem Solving: Proven ability to reason across technical, operational, and user-facing constraints and make tradeoffs that optimize for system-level outcomes
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable partnering with engineers on APIs, integrations, data models, and system tradeoffs; able to reason about architecture without needing to write code
  • Discovery & Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to lead discovery, frame problems, and make defensible decisions in ambiguous environments
  • Communication Skills: Clear, concise communicator who can translate complexity into alignment-ready narratives and artifacts
  • Execution Mindset: Bias toward delivering customer value, measuring impact, and iterating based on real-world feedback

Who You Are

  • You enjoy working on systems rather than isolated features, and you naturally think in terms of flows, dependencies, and second-order effects
  • You are energized by ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces where correctness, trust, and reliability matter
  • You can zoom in to reason about edge cases and data quality, and zoom out to understand how decisions affect the broader platform
  • You balance user needs, business goals, partner constraints, and technical realities when making decisions
  • You collaborate deeply with Design and Engineering, valuing shared ownership, strong opinions loosely held, and healthy debate
  • You value learning, iteration, and continuous improvement over perfection

Who You Aren’t

  • You’re not looking for a highly prescriptive or overly structured environment
  • You aren’t focused solely on feature delivery without understanding underlying workflows or impact
  • You aren’t uncomfortable with technical or domain complexity
  • You’re not seeking a purely consumer-focused product role
  • You’re not operating as a project manager or ticket coordinator, ownership and judgment are essential

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the DME ecosystem or benefits administration
  • Familiarity with X12 transactions (270/271, 278) and clearinghouse integrations
  • Experience supporting enterprise customer onboarding or external partner launches
  • Background in platform, infrastructure-adjacent, or data-intensive product areas
  • Startup or scale-up experience in healthcare technology

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage: Comprehensive plans with options for low-to-no-cost premiums.
  • Employer HSA Contribution: Company-funded contributions to your Health Savings Account.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Equity Incentive Plan
  • Annual Company-Wide Bonus: Opportunity for up to 15% bonus based on company performance.
  • Remote-First Culture: We are remote-first with a dedicated NYC office and reimbursement options for co-working spaces.
  • Flexible Vacation Policy
  • Summer Fridays: 5 additional Fridays off during the summer (separate from PTO).
  • Home Office and Wellness Stipend
  • Monthly Internet Stipend
  • Annual Learning and Development Stipend

Base Salary Bands (based on level and experience)
