Senior Program Manager, Network Infrastructure

The Senior Program Manager, Network Infrastructure will play a critical role in scaling the Fastly global network by leading the execution of our most impactful Network Infrastructure projects. Acting as a strategic bridge across Network Operations, Supply Chain, Data Center Provisioning, Data Center Infrastructure, Finance, and Legal, you won’t just track deliverables; you’ll drive complex, large-scale deployment plans to completion. You will join our high-impact Program Management Infrastructure team, reporting to the Senior Manager, and have a direct, tangible influence on the growth and success of Fastly’s global infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the end-to-end development and execution of build and deployment plans.
  • Lead complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, including new site builds, site augments, and decommissioning efforts.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between Infrastructure Acquisition Managers, Network Operations, Supply Chain, Data Center Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other partners, ensuring clear accountability and successful delivery.
  • Establish and maintain reporting frameworks to provide transparent visibility on deployment timelines, risks, and project health to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Proactively identify critical path bottlenecks, risks, and blockers, escalating issues with data-driven mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze project workflows to identify and implement opportunities for standardizing and automating processes, ensuring faster and more reliable infrastructure delivery.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of critical hardware and services.
  • Collaborate as a core member of a high-impact team dedicated to building and scaling the world’s most performant edge computing network.

What We're Looking For: 

  • Proven track record of at least 5-7+ years driving large-scale infrastructure programs within cloud services, CDN, OTT, data center, or telecommunications environments.
  • Technical fluency in data center and network infrastructure architecture, including power specifications, hardware deployment, and physical layer components.
  • Experience working in a Production Engineering environment with a focus on Network Engineering, Acquisition, or Delivery.
  • Proficiency in advanced project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet) and data visualization to track milestones and capacity.
  • Experience in process analysis and improvement to drive operational efficiency and standardization.
  • Experience with global capacity planning, supply chain logistics, and managing hardware deployment lifecycles.
  • Strong stakeholder management, ability to navigate ambiguity, and the leadership to drive consensus across diverse engineering teams.
  • Experience in incident management or post-mortem analysis to improve long-term system reliability.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project roadmaps for non-technical stakeholders.

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Experience with Dell and Hyve hardware
  • Experience with Arista and Ciena networking hardware

Work Hours: 

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours. 

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements: 

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager. There is a preference for candidates to be located near one of our offices below, but it is not required.

Salary: 

The estimated salary range for this position is $142,630.00 to $195,000.00.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
