The Senior Systems Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support and infrastructure services. This individual will be responsible for deploying and supporting end-user devices, assisting with network administration and troubleshooting, and performing basic Microsoft Azure administration and support activities.

Responsibilities
  • Performs all non‐emergency disruptive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades (i.e., operating system upgrades, server refresh, enhancements, installs etc.) during non-business hours or as coordinated
  • Provides 24x7 on-call production support; provides triage and root cause analysis.
  • Performs Capacity and Performance management.
  • Performs system administration activities, including server management, performance monitoring, management of system resources, auditing system logs, back-up and recovery, security, storage management, server and solution design, process improvement and automation using DevOps tools, and maintenance of complex systems.
  • Participate in site implementations/upgrades, network upgrades/remote connectivity and general infra and end user device support and upgrade efforts.
  • End User Computing & Desktop Support
    • Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, and application issues.
    • Support Windows 11 environments.
    • Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user devices.
    • Perform workstation setup, moves, adds, changes, and decommissions.
    • Assist with Microsoft 365 application support and troubleshooting.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
    • Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
  • Networking
    • Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity issues.
    • Collaborate with remote team and vendor to configure and support network switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
    • Assist with network monitoring and performance analysis.
    • Support IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and network security fundamentals.
    • Work with vendors and service providers to resolve network-related issues.
  • Microsoft Azure & Cloud Support
    • Support Microsoft Azure environments and cloud-based services.
    • Support Azure storage accounts, networking, and identity services.
    • Work with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) administration.
    • Assist with Azure-based connectivity and cloud infrastructure initiatives.
    • Support Microsoft 365 integrations and cloud-related operational needs.
    • Assist with Azure resource administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; commensurate experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with server system products involving a variety of software and hardware implementations.
  • Experience with requirements analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance responsibilities as well as production support of multiple servers. 
  • Experience in projects working as a member of a technical team and/or leading the roll out of production and test systems.

  • Highly skilled in developing quantitative cost/benefit analysis to measure improvements.
  • Proficient in organizational processes as well as capable of assessing and initiating change of such processes.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and application of competency and can consult as well as lead others in its application.

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. 
Pay Grade 22. $92,500 - $200,400
