Lead and deliver complex, cross-functional engineering programs for Peregrine's AI-enabled platform. Define scope, align stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, drive infrastructure and cost-performance improvements, and establish TPM playbooks and cadences. Own programs end-to-end from concept through delivery while enabling transparency and measurable business outcomes.

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society’s challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence — instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people — and we’re amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.

Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to help build Peregrine's product and the platform that powers it. This isn't a coordination role, it's a builder role. You'll bring clarity where it's lacking, align teams on strategy and architecture, and establish cadences that actually move work forward. You'll manage risks and dependencies, tie execution to business outcomes, and drive improvements in cost and infrastructure performance — while fostering the transparency that lets issues surface early.

This is a rare opportunity to do more than execute programs — you'll help define the TPM discipline at Peregrine. You'll shape the function from the ground up, building the playbooks and setting the standard for how technical program management drives impact. If you've ever wanted to leave a fingerprint on how an engineering organization operates, this is that role.

About you
  • Engineering mindset: you take ambiguous problems, define the work, and build programs around them
  • End-to-end ownership from concept through delivery — scoping, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring outcomes land
  • Strong data-driven judgment and ability to lead cross-functional work without relying on authority
  • Equally comfortable with infrastructure tradeoffs and cost models as with running cross-functional reviews
  • Execution-focused: when things get messy, you do what it takes to deliver
  • Efficiency-oriented: you spot inefficiencies and fix them with lightweight processes, better tools, or clarity
What we look for
  • 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional engineering programs — not just projects
  • Engineering background with hands-on experience building infrastructure or platform systems
  • Strong technical and business acumen; comfortable moving between architecture discussions and executive reviews
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and/or data-centric products — warehouses, APIs, data pipelines and visualization, or similar
  • Clear, direct communicator, both written and verbal, across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and excited to work in our SF office

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, certifications or licenses, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here.
