IREN is seeking Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) to lead the execution of complex technical infrastructure projects supporting strategic delivery and operational remediation programs across IREN's AI infrastructure portfolio. Working in partnership with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and Technical Infrastructure Program Managers (TIPMs), the STPM is responsible for successfully delivering projects that support infrastructure expansion, client delivery, infrastructure optimization, and operational remediation initiatives. This role serves as the execution lead within larger strategic programs, translating program objectives into successful project outcomes through disciplined planning, technical coordination, schedule management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of Technical Project Management experience.
  • Experience delivering complex technical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering and operational teams.
  • Strong experience managing integrated project schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting AI infrastructure or hyperscale data centre environments.
  • Experience with GPU compute platforms and HPC infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering technical deployment or operational remediation projects.
  • Familiarity with Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, or similar enterprise hardware.
  • Knowledge of ROCE , InfiniBand, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced scheduling experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) is responsible for:
Technical Project Delivery
  • Manage Technical Project Management group
  • Lead the execution of complex technical infrastructure projects supporting AI infrastructure deployment and operational remediation programs.
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and in accordance with technical, operational, and business requirements.
  • Develop detailed execution plans and coordinate project activities from initiation through operational handoff.
  • Manage multiple concurrent technical projects supporting strategic infrastructure initiatives.
Infrastructure Deployment
  • Lead projects involving Rack & Stack, GPU Server Deployment, Storage Deployment, Network Hardware Installation, Fibre Optic Installation, Structured Cabling, Cross-Connects, Infrastructure Provisioning, Infrastructure Commissioning, Client Delivery, and Operational Readiness.
  • Coordinate implementation across Engineering, Operations, Site Leadership, Procurement, OEM vendors (Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro), and external service providers.
Operational Remediation Projects
  • Execute projects supporting infrastructure upgrades, hardware refresh initiatives, infrastructure optimization, infrastructure recovery, reliability improvements, capacity optimization, technology lifecycle initiatives, technical remediation projects, corrective action implementation, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Support Technical Infrastructure Program Managers in executing enterprise remediation roadmaps.
Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules.
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Coordinate implementation sequencing across multiple technical teams.
  • Monitor schedule performance and proactively manage project risks.
  • Support procurement coordination for long-lead technical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate project forecasts and delivery reporting.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build trusted working relationships across Engineering, Operations, Construction, Procurement, Site Leadership, and external vendors.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate project meetings and coordinate cross-functional delivery activities.
  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining delivery momentum.
Project Controls
  • Manage project scope, schedules, action items, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Track project performance against established objectives.
  • Prepare executive-ready project reporting and status updates.
  • Ensure documentation remains current throughout the project lifecycle.
Client Delivery
  • Coordinate implementation readiness.
  • Manage technical deployment activities.
  • Support commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate customer onboarding.
  • Ensure successful operational handoff.
  • Support go-live readiness.
Continuous Improvement
 
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery practices.
  • Develop reusable project templates and standards.
  • Support the continuous maturity of IREN's Technical Program Management organization.
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements.

  • Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region, but the tentative Salary Range is $120,000 to $165,000
