About Glean:

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.

At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.

Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Bloomberg’s AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner’s Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we’re helping the world’s largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.

If you’re excited to shape how the world works, you’ll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more. You'll be deeply embedded where people get things done. You'll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.
About the Role:

Glean is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile, to accelerate our development of fully native apps for iOS and Android. Today our apps wrap the web app; you will replace them with native Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose apps, harnessing AI to deliver a new refined and polished mobile experience. You will be responsible for setting strong technical foundations for these new codebases.

You will:

Build the apps

  • Build and ship native iOS and Android apps in Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
  • Ship user-facing features end to end: search, AI assistant, agents, notifications, and OS integrations such as widgets, App Intents, share extensions, live voice modes and more.
  • Build experiences that feel native on each platform, following Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design, with strong accessibility, performance, and offline behavior.
  • Define the mobile architecture: module boundaries, networking, persistence, concurrency, observability, and performance budgets.

Build the infrastructure

  • Own mobile CI/CD: automated builds and tests, code signing, TestFlight and Play Store deployment, phased rollouts, and release health monitoring.
  • Set up an AI-native development workflow: an agent-friendly repo, automated test generation, AI-assisted review, and tooling that lets coding agents build, run, and verify mobile changes.

Own enterprise readiness

  • Build, sign, and ship enterprise app variants with their own configuration and distribution requirements.
  • Own mobile authentication end to end: OAuth 2.0/PKCE, OIDC/SAML SSO, secure token and session handling, and identity-provider policies such as conditional access and device trust.
  • Make the apps work in managed and BYOD environments: MDM, MAM, managed app configuration, app protection policies, and Android Enterprise work profiles.
  • Design admin-controlled data protection (downloads, sharing, copy/paste, screenshots) with Security and Admin teams, and emit reliable audit events for customer security tooling.
  • Represent mobile in enterprise security reviews and validate behavior on real managed and unmanaged devices.
About you:
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years shipping production mobile apps on both iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency in Swift or Kotlin with working knowledge of the other, and willingness to develop cross-platform fluency, as you will be responsible for both iOS and Android.
  • You have owned mobile CI/CD pipelines and release infrastructure (e.g. Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, Gradle, code signing, staged rollouts).
  • You use AI coding tools daily to ship faster without lowering the quality bar, and have opinions on structuring a codebase and toolchain so agents work in it effectively.
  • Experience with mobile auth: OAuth 2.0/PKCE, OIDC/SAML, MSAL, ASWebAuthenticationSession / Custom Tabs, Keychain and Android Keystore.
  • Experience shipping OS integrations (widgets, App Intents / Shortcuts, extensions, background work) on at least one platform.
  • Startup mindset: comfortable owning problems end to end, from infra to pixels, in an ambiguous environment.
  • Nice to have: migrating a hybrid or cross-platform app to native; shipping in MDM/MAM-managed enterprise environments.

Location:

  • This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Mountain View or San Francisco office)
