About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the full product experience for an AI-driven software platform, from the user-facing application and APIs to backend services and supporting infrastructure. Build the layer that connects underlying models to end users and measure quality rigorously. Work closely with research and product colleagues and help raise the standard for AI-assisted development practices across the team.

What you'll do

- Build and own the application, APIs and backend services end to end.

- Develop the orchestration layer that connects models to tools, retrieval and feedback loops so outputs are usable and trustworthy.

- Design and maintain evaluation suites for everything you ship.

- Handle technical data work such as file format conversion and geometry data preparation, linking data pipelines to the application.

- Make infrastructure decisions covering deployment, observability, latency and cost.

- Partner with research colleagues on model needs and with product colleagues on real user issues.

- Set the internal standard for AI-assisted coding workflows and share what you learn to speed up the whole team.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- At least 3 years of full-time engineering experience.

- Proven ownership of building products from zero to one, at a startup or a large technology company.

- Daily use of AI coding assistants, with the ability to explain in depth how you scope tasks, supply context and judge their output.

- Experience shipping production software that real users relied on.

- Strong full-stack ability across backends, APIs and user-facing applications.

- Hands-on experience building with large language models in production.

- Experience building or maintaining evaluation frameworks.

- Sound judgment about where AI tooling helps and where it fails.

- Proficiency in Python plus either TypeScript or C++.

- Comfort with high ownership and ambiguity, and a love of hard problems.

- A computer science degree from a top-ranked university.

Bonus points

- Familiarity with a related technical field such as 3D graphics, simulation or robotics, including through coursework or personal projects.

- A background in a hardware or physical-product industry.

- Sustained tenure at one employer alongside a record of internal advancement.

- Experience building agentic systems used by real users.

- Custom tooling built around coding agents.

- Open-source contributions or widely adopted tools.

- Experience with inference serving or latency optimization.

- Early-engineer startup experience building a product from scratch.
