About Us

Reducto is the agentic document platform for leading AI teams who demand enterprise performance at scale. We provide a comprehensive toolkit for working with documents the way a human would, combining custom in-house and leading frontier models to power efficient and accurate document workflows.

We’ve grown rapidly, increasing revenue 8x year over year and partnering with hundreds of companies, from leading AI teams like Harvey, Vanta, and Scale, to enterprise customers across FAANG and top trading firms.

Reducto has raised over $100M from world-class investors including a16z, Benchmark, and First Round Capital.

The Opportunity

As the founding Solutions Engineering Manager at Reducto, you’ll build and lead the team that sits at the front lines with our customers—shaping how we win, onboard, and grow enterprise accounts. You’ll hire, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers, partner closely with our GTM and core engineering teams on the most complex enterprise deployments, and define the playbooks, processes, and technical strategy that scale this function as Reducto grows. This is a player-coach role: you’ll stay hands-on with our most strategic customers while building the foundation of how this org will operate, expand, and deliver value at scale.

We would love to meet you if:
  • You bring a high bar for quality and outcomes—for yourself and the people you lead. You don’t settle for 90%, you move with urgency, and you create a team culture where people ship fast, take ownership, and jump in to fix problems instead of just surfacing them.

  • You have 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a closely related technical customer-facing role—with significant time spent supporting enterprise or regulated customers.

  • You have 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading a team of solutions/sales engineers (or similar technical IC team), including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

  • You’re technically credible. You can go deep with engineers and customers on Python, APIs, infrastructure, and modern cloud/Kubernetes-based deployments—and you know when to roll up your sleeves vs. when to unblock your team.

  • Cross-functional partnership: You’ve worked tightly with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership—owning the technical side of the customer journey from first call through expansion, and feeding learnings back into the product roadmap.

  • Operational rigor: You’ve built or improved the systems that make a technical team run—forecasting, capacity planning, account coverage, POC frameworks, enablement, and metrics that tie SE activity to revenue and customer outcomes.

The core work will include:
  • Build and lead the Solutions Engineering team—hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing SEs into high-performing partners for our GTM org.

  • Partner with Sales leadership across the full deal cycle—from discovery and technical qualification through demos, POCs, and architecture reviews—to drive enterprise wins and expansion.

  • Stay hands-on as a player-coach—personally leading our most strategic enterprise engagements and complex technical discussions when it matters most.

  • Define the SE playbook at Reducto: demo standards, POC methodology, technical discovery, account coverage models, and the operating cadence that ties the team to GTM goals.

  • Be the bridge between customers and Product/Engineering—synthesizing field signal into a clear, prioritized feedback loop that shapes the roadmap.

  • Work directly with the founders to shape GTM strategy, technical positioning, and how Solutions Engineering scales as we grow the company.

Bonus points if you:
  • Have built a Solutions/Sales Engineering function from the ground up at an early-stage or high-growth startup

  • Have experience selling to or supporting technical buyers in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, legal, insurance) or AI/ML-heavy teams

  • Keep up with the latest developments in ML/AI and have an opinion on where the document/agentic AI space is going

This is an in person role at our office in SF. We’re an early stage company which means that the role requires working hard and moving quickly. Please only apply if that excites you.

About Reducto

Nearly 80% of enterprise data is in unstructured formats like PDFs

PDFs are the status quo for enterprise knowledge in nearly every industry. Insurance claims, financial statements, invoices, and health records are all stored in a structure that’s simply impractical for use in digital workflows. This isn’t an inconvenience—it’s a critical bottleneck that leads to dozens of wasted hours every week.

Traditional approaches fail at reliably extracting information in complex PDFs

OCR and even more sophisticated ML approaches work for simple text documents but are unreliable for anything more complex. Text from different columns are jumbled together, figures are ignored, and tables are a nightmare to get right. Overcoming this usually requires a large engineering effort dedicated to building specialized pipelines for every document type you work with.

Reducto breaks document layouts into subsections and then contextually parses each depending on the type of content. This is made possible by a combination of vision models, LLMs, and a suite of heuristics we built over time. Put simply, we can help you:

  • Accurately extract text and tables even with nonstandard layouts

  • Automatically convert graphs to tabular data and summarize images in documents

  • Extract important fields from complex forms with simple, natural language instructions

  • Build powerful retrieval pipelines using Reducto’s document metadata

  • Intelligently chunk information using the document’s layout data

Benefits at Reducto
