** This is not a remote position. T-Mobile is a hybrid work environment requiring work in the office three (3) days per week. The successful candidate will be located in either the Herndon, Virginia or New York, New York areas.**
Job Overview
This role supports business growth by identifying market opportunities and analyzing competitive trends within the business development function. It involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to perform complex analyses and develop strategic recommendations for key business decisions. The role differentiates itself through the integration of financial modeling and executive-level communication to influence organizational strategy. Success is measured by the accuracy of insights delivered, stakeholder engagement, and the impact of strategic initiatives on business outcomes. The work directly informs leadership decisions and contributes to the overall direction and performance of the organization and its customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic projects to analyze business challenges and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders
  • Develop financial and market models to support decision-making and evaluate growth opportunities
  • Synthesize complex data into clear, concise presentations for executive audiences
  • Identify and communicate market and competitor trends to inform organizational strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and drive business initiatives
  • Coordinate preparation activities for key organizational events such as earnings calls and board meetings
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience
  • Acceptable areas of study include Business, Management, Economics, Statistics, or related field

Required Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years Management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or other related experience requiring quantitative analysis and executive presentation skills.
  • 4-7 years Strategy and Problem Solving experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations.
  • 4-7 years Financial modeling and Analytics. Experience in developing financial models and performing financial and operating analysis and reporting, including analyzing complex data.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Less than 2 years Prior experience in B2B, Product Strategy, and/or Telecom.
  • Less than 2 years Project management. Experience leading project independently, engaging and getting consensus from stakeholders, creating roadmaps and project plans.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strategy Proactive problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach. Ability to frame problems, use strategic frameworks, develop strategies.
  • Business Acumen Business Model: Knowledge and understanding of business models, pricing strategies, channel management. Analytical and data-driven, comfortable triangulating data to estimate market sizes and build financial models.
  • Financial Analysis Ability to build financial models and develop qualitative analysis, perform sensitivity analysis. Comfortable reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
  • Communication Ability to synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready written, visual, and verbal communications. Ability to articulate rationale and present in front of senior leaders. Effective communicator who knows how to bring structure and clarity to situations where direction is limited.
  • Problem Solving Critical Thinking: Ability to think through complex problems. Intellectually curious, enjoys researching about new technologies and products. Natural hustler with a contagious “can-do” attitude.
  • High Performance Teams Team player, adept at working with others to overcome obstacles and gain alignment to achieve results

    Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $155,640 - $280,800

    National Base Pay Range: $129,700 - $234,000

    The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results.

The candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.     At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance. The incentive component included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflects target performance. Actual earnings included in the Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity reflect target performance; actual payouts may vary.
