About the Role:This is a Technical Engineering Manager role (50% Management / 50% Technical) responsible for owning and delivering Sensor Engineering products and features for CrowdStrike. This person will work closely with Product Management to define the delivery roadmap and will be technically responsible for the sensor (lightweight agent) across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. The manager will engage with CrowdStrike's cross-product group leadership to stay aligned on developments across the broader Falcon Exposure Management product ecosystem and champion AI adoption to elevate team productivity and sensor capabilities.
CrowdStrike Falcon is a two-component security product – a lightweight sensor installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, paired with a cloud component that aggregates telemetry, correlates threats across machines, and presents prioritized threat summaries to customer operations teams.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Engage with cross-product group leadership to align sensor roadmap with broader Falcon Exposure Management developments
Champion AI adoption – drive AI-assisted development tools, build AI literacy within teams, and identify opportunities to embed AI into sensor capabilities
Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported product issues responsively across distributed teams
Drive hiring, performance management, career development, and succession planning globally
Define and track engineering KPIs and OKRs and represent Sensor Engineering in executive-level discussions
10+ years of software engineering experience with strong systems programming background
5+ years of engineering management experience including managing managers across organizations of 20+ engineers
Ability to develop high-quality code in C/C++ with experience in high concurrency and high reliability production environments
Experience with OS internals and kernel-level development across Windows, macOS, and/or Linux – including file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems
Proven track record leading globally distributed teams across multiple time zones
Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence across cross-functional leadership
Bonus Points:
Experience in VM, EDR, XDR, or cybersecurity products
Familiarity with eBPF, kernel drivers, Windows Filter Platform, or macOS system extensions
Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools in software engineering workflows
Familiarity with CrowdStrike's Falcon platform or Falcon Exposure Management product ecosystem
Prior experience working with India and/or European engineering hubs
Experience managing cloud engineering teams and delivering cloud-based or cloud-connected security products is a significant bonus – candidates with a strong understanding of how sensor telemetry integrates with cloud-scale data pipelines and services will stand out
