Overview of Job Function

The Sr. Renewals Manager is responsible for coaching a team of Renewal Sales Managers focused on maintaining and growing Verint’s recurring revenue base. This role drives renewal performance, customer retention, bookings attainment, forecast accuracy, and multi-year agreement penetration across the assigned portfolio.

This front-line sales team lead coaches, develops, and enables direct reports to execute Verint’s renewal strategy, improve customer outcomes, and achieve business objectives. The role partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Support, Operations, and Product teams to ensure successful renewal execution and revenue retention.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Renewal Sales Managers to achieve renewal, retention, bookings, and term-length objectives.

• Drive execution of Verint’s renewal strategy and ensure adherence to established renewal processes and timelines, including the 9-month / 6-month renewal strategy.

• Conduct pipeline reviews, forecast inspections, deal strategy sessions, and performance coaching with direct reports.

• Hold the team accountable for accurate Salesforce forecasting, pipeline health, opportunity hygiene, risk visibility, and timely leadership updates.

• Partner with account teams to support strategic renewal planning, customer retention efforts, and complex or escalated negotiations.

• Serve as the first-level escalation point for customer, commercial, contractual, operational, support, technical, and renewal-related issues.

• Guide the team in identifying and mitigating renewal risks, addressing customer concerns, and developing retention strategies for at-risk opportunities and upsell.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration between Renewal Sales Managers and Account Executives, Client Success Managers, Finance, Legal, Deal Desk, Support, Operations, and Product teams.

• Monitor team performance against key metrics, including retention rates, bookings attainment, forecast accuracy, renewal timing, and multi-year term achievement.

• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop talent while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

• 10+ years of experience in software renewals, sales, customer success, account management, or a related customer-facing commercial role.

• 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or managing sales or renewal professionals.

• Proven track record of achieving revenue, retention, customer satisfaction, and recurring revenue objectives.

• Strong understanding of SaaS, Cloud, subscription, support renewal, and recurring revenue business models.

• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing complex customer relationships.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms such as Salesforce; working knowledge of Oracle or ERP software products preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, forecasting, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of software licensing, renewal processes, contracts, commercial terms, and contractual terms and conditions.

• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and leadership levels while operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven sales environment.

• Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, credit, and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

Preferred Requirements

• Background in SaaS / Cloud technologies.

• Experience leading Renewal, Sales, Customer Success, or Account Management teams.

• Experience managing recurring revenue portfolios, renewal forecasting, pipeline inspection, and renewal risk reviews.

• Experience supporting complex customer negotiations, pricing discussions, escalations, and contract-related renewal issues.
