Job Description:

   

HPE Networking is seeking a highly motivated individual to drive product strategy, roadmap planning, and execution for our Cloud Provider and Hyperscaler segment, focusing on Tier 1 & Tier 2 customers and emerging AI Cloud Providers (Neoclouds).

This individual will be a key member of HPE’s Routing Infrastructure Solution Product Management organization and will be part of the team responsible for fast growing PTX product family. 

Location: This is a hybrid position in our Sunnyvale, California office.  

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is execution-oriented, possessing a business-first approach, a builder mentality, and strong strategic and technical acumen to build and sustain a fast-growing business. This person must combine these skills with strong relationship-building and communication skills (written and verbal) to influence internal stakeholders and external customer and partner audiences.

The ideal candidate will have both a technical and business background, demonstrated experience in complex infrastructure, hardware, software, and service environments, and familiarity with the global telecommunications and cloud infrastructure market.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Lead complex HW and system NPI programs leveraging expertise in HW systems and network ASICs.

  • Drive the Cloud Customer segment platforms strategy, product definition, and program execution.

  • Support fast-moving cloud customer needs and pursue significant opportunities with Tier 1/Tier 2 Cloud customers and Neoclouds building AI clusters.

  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and systems engineering to translate market requirements into engineering product requirements.

  • Manage requirements and drive engineering commitments in close partnership with various sales teams.

  • Perform market and competitive assessment.

  • Generate sales and product collateral.

  • Partner closely with sales and marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

This role demands the ability to build and drive a disruptive product strategy for Hyperscalers, Cloud, and Neoclouds, competency to develop a world-class product and solution roadmap, and the drive to accelerate revenue and market share.

The successful candidate must think strategically, fluidly cross business and technical domains, distill complex concepts into practical reality, make data-driven decisions, and tactically drive execution to achieve target metrics and goals.

Qualifications include:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in product management in HW products.

  • Expertise on network HW, Systems, and/or network ASICs.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Analytical skills including financial modeling using Excel and/or similar tools.

  • Outstanding technical and business presentation skills for executive, partner, analyst, and customer audiences.

  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business strategies, manage trade-offs, and articulate the rationale behind decisions.

  • Strong customer orientation used to develop and validate product/solution requirements and build business plans.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA, or experience successfully running/growing a business.

  • 5+ years of IP Networking Hardware Product Management experience. Experience with Routing / Switching products is a plus.

  • Highly knowledgeable in Networking SW and HW, including Networking Protocols for DC and WAN, Network ASICs and Operating Systems

  • Experience working with Hyperscalers, Neoclouds in Americas markets.
