Summary of Role:

The Senior Product Marketing Manager (Sr. PMM) is a highly strategic, customer-facing, and commercially focused leader responsible for driving business growth, market adoption, and profitability for GlobalFoundries' technology platforms and solutions. This role serves as the bridge between customers, sales, engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams, translating complex semiconductor technologies into compelling value propositions, business cases, and go-to-market strategies.
The Sr. PMM acts as a trusted advisor to executive customers and internal leadership, leading commercial negotiations, contract discussions, pricing strategies, and strategic customer engagements from opportunity creation through high-volume production. The individual must possess deep market insight, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives. This role builds upon the responsibilities outlined in the Product Marketing Manager position.

Essential Responsibilities

Business Growth & Customer Engagement

  • Drive revenue growth and design-win attainment by partnering with Sales and Business Development teams to identify, qualify, and close strategic customer opportunities.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, ecosystem partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic customer engagements, business reviews, and escalation management throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop customer growth strategies and account-specific business plans to accelerate market adoption and revenue expansion.

Commercial Strategy & Pricing

  • Define and execute pricing strategies for technology access, mask sets, NREs, wafer volumes, and long-term volume agreements.
  • Develop detailed business cases and financial models to support customer engagements, investments, and strategic decisions.
  • Manage sales forecasts, revenue projections, and profitability analyses, providing recommendations to leadership on growth opportunities and risk mitigation.
  • Support annual planning, long-range planning (LRP), and product portfolio investment decisions.

Contract Negotiation & Legal Partnership

  • Lead commercial negotiations for strategic customer agreements, including master service agreements, long-term supply agreements (LTAs), capacity agreements, development agreements, pricing amendments, and other complex commercial contracts.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Business Unit leadership to review, structure, negotiate, and finalize contractual terms while balancing customer requirements with company objectives.
  • Drive resolution of contractual issues, risk assessments, supply commitments and pricing frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and commercial governance processes.
  • Serve as the primary commercial representative during customer contract negotiations and executive business discussions.

Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Leadership

  • Develop and lead comprehensive go-to-market strategies for existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Create differentiated messaging, positioning, and value propositions that communicate the benefits of GlobalFoundries' technology offerings.
  • Develop executive presentations, customer-facing collateral, competitive analyses, and thought-leadership content.
  • Lead product launches and market activation campaigns in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

  • Conduct market research on industry trends, customer roadmaps, emerging applications, and competitive dynamics.
  • Perform competitive intelligence on technology offerings, pricing strategies, business models, and market positioning.
  • Identify market opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for product portfolio evolution and investment priorities.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and Sales organizations to execute business objectives.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across global organizations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and contribute to organizational capability development.

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Management, or a related semiconductor industry role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing business cases, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven track record leading customer-facing engagements and strategic account growth initiatives.
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements and contracts in partnership with legal teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, including forecasting, profitability analysis, and business modeling.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing or foundry industry.
  • Experience working with global customers in mobile, IoT, AI, automotive, RF, or industrial applications.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, wafer foundry business models, and supply agreements.
  • Experience negotiating Long-Term Agreements (LTA), and other strategic commercial contracts.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead complex strategic initiatives.

Expected Salary Range

$118,000.00 - $239,000.00
