About Mariana Minerals

Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

We are hiring a Sr. R&D Engineering Recruiter to help build world-class engineering teams that will shape the future of industrial automation, AI, and critical minerals.

In this role, you'll partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and technical leaders to identify, engage, and attract exceptional engineering talent — particularly chemical, mechanical, and process engineers. You'll play a critical role in developing creative sourcing strategies, uncovering hard-to-find talent in industrial and materials-focused disciplines, and building long-term relationships with candidates before they're actively looking.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys research, thrives on solving difficult hiring challenges, and wants to help build a company from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for chemical, mechanical, process, and other engineering roles across the company

  • Build targeted searches that identify exceptional engineering talent across industrial, manufacturing, materials science, and process research communities

  • Research, identify, and engage passive candidates through highly personalized outreach tailored to engineering disciplines

  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand technical requirements, hiring priorities, and market dynamics for engineering roles

  • Translate complex or evolving engineering requirements into effective sourcing strategies

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-potential engineering candidates

  • Conduct talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and market research across chemical, mechanical, and process engineering fields to inform hiring strategies

  • Continuously improve sourcing methodologies, tooling, and recruiting processes

  • Track sourcing metrics and provide market insights to recruiting leaders and hiring managers

  • Represent Mariana Minerals through a thoughtful and engaging candidate experience

  • Help shape and strengthen Mariana Minerals' employer brand and engineering talent narrative

  • Stay current on sourcing technology, AI-assisted sourcing tools, and emerging channels to reach specialized engineering talent

  • Build diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and highly specialized engineering roles

Desired Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of experience sourcing technical talent, with demonstrated success recruiting chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, process engineers, or similar disciplines

  • Experience recruiting for industrial, manufacturing, materials, chemicals, or process-heavy environments (startup or established company)

  • Expert in utilizing ATS tools (preference for Ashby)

  • Strong expertise with LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing tools, Boolean search, Indeed, research platforms, professional/technical societies, and other creative sourcing techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and engage passive candidates for difficult-to-fill engineering roles

  • Experience partnering directly with engineering leaders and hiring managers

  • Excellent research skills with the ability to understand engineering domains (chemical, mechanical, process) and evaluate technical talent

  • Strong written communication skills with experience crafting personalized candidate outreach

  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining a high quality bar

  • Data-driven approach to sourcing strategy and pipeline management

  • Strong closing and negotiating skills

  • High ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

  • Passion for building exceptional teams and creating outstanding candidate experiences

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience recruiting for critical minerals, mining, chemicals, industrial automation, robotics, or deep tech companies

  • Experience sourcing for niche or emerging technical disciplines (e.g., materials science, controls engineering, applied AI/ML, software engineering)

  • Familiarity with early-stage or seed-to-Series B recruiting environments

  • Experience building a sourcing function or playbook from scratch

Our culture is built on four principles:

Everyone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.

Extreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.

Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.

Share Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.

Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!
