About the Role:

Help us protect the Security Cloud from the most advanced threats! As a Software Engineer in Product Security, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and deploying security tooling and automation across our Product Security organization. Your team will ensure that our data platforms, operational tools, and security harnesses scale with CrowdStrike’s massive growth and success. You will help develop APIs and frameworks allowing engineers across Product Security to collaboratively contribute to tooling and automation efforts. You will work side-by-side with product security teams and security engineers to safeguard our global, multi-cloud production environment!

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a technical leader on a global software engineering team in Product Security, building and operating robust and scalable systems that drive our security mission

  • Design and implement software & automation tools for security use cases such as software supply chain security, AI-powered vulnerability discovery, and visibility of a global multi-cloud platform

  • Partner closely with teams throughout Product Security to develop security tooling strategy, through risk assessments and architectural deep dives

  • Own SRE excellence for mission-critical security services, implementing performance monitoring and response processes to ensure flawless performance during critical security responses

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in a Software Engineering role (event-driven systems, data ingestion pipelines, internal automation tools, internal monitoring tools)

  • Experience developing in Golang, Python, React, Angular, and/or Typescript.

  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containers, software cryptographic signing, and OSS dependencies

  • Experience managing end-to-end SDLC, including design, implementation, and delivery, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and mission outcomes

  • Experience with configuration management & orchestration software such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet, etc.

  • Experience in a Product Security role (product platforms, customer facing applications). SaaS company background is a strong bonus.

  • Broad awareness of the cybersecurity landscape including adversaries, modes of interest, and TTPs

  • Experience working with ElasticSearch and relational databases

  • Experience working with graph database solutions for building internal asset relationships

  • Experience monitoring / analyzing telemetry data from applications and infrastructure

  • Experience in Security Operations and/or Incident Response

  • Experience with Cloud-scale, business-critical Linux environments

  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably AWS or GCP

  • A combination of confidence and independence... with the prudence to know when to ask for help from the rest of the team
