We are seeking a Senior
System Engineer to support the development and integration of
next-generation diagnostic solutions. The role will focus on integrating instruments,
molecular diagnostic workflows, software, and data pipelines across
multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead
system integration across end-to-end diagnostic workflows, including sample
preparation, library preparation, qPCR, digital PCR, sequencing, and data
processing.
- Define
system requirements and contribute to system testing, verification, and
validation (V&V).
- Develop
and execute test cases and analyze results against system requirements.
- Troubleshoot
system issues, manage defects, and perform root cause analysis.
- Create
and maintain system requirements, specifications, integration plans, and
verification documentation.
- Identify
opportunities for workflow automation, simplification, and continuous
improvement.
- Collaborate
with assay, software, hardware, bioinformatics, and cross-functional
engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Software
Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+
years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on
experience with instrument and software troubleshooting/integration.
- Experience
with IVD, molecular diagnostics, or diagnostic instrumentation preferred.
- Strong
knowledge of system testing, requirements, verification/validation, and
root cause analysis.
- Strong
analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional
collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience
with NGS/sequencing, qPCR, dPCR, sample/library preparation, or
bioinformatics.
- Experience
with cloud-based systems.
- Scripting/programming
experience, particularly Python or Java.
