Position Summary:  Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Staff Accountant to provide assistance in the accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor setup, payment preparation, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure invoices are properly coded, approved, entered, and supported in ERP system.
  • Perform monthly bank, AP, and GL reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
  • Review F&B invoices, purchases, inventory, and COGS for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Work closely with F&B operations to ensure timely submission of invoices, BEOs, inventory counts, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with F&B inventory reconciliation and variance analysis, including investigating significant variances.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account analyses as needed.
  • Monitor AP aging and follow up on outstanding invoices and discrepancies.
  • Assist with revenue, expense, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support annual audits and provide requested schedules and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies across the venues.
  • Provide backup support to other Finance team members and assist with special projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, convention center, arena, hotel, restaurant, or F&B operations.
  • Hands-on experience with F&B accounting, inventory, COGS, and vendor management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage, or similar ERP systems preferred.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Must understand basic Accounting principles.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills. 
  • Must be able to prioritize schedules, work independently and follow instructions. 
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with computerized accounting software preferred.
