Join us on our mission to reverse metabolic disease in one billion people.

We are looking for a world-class, hands-on-keyboard technical consultant for a 6–12 month contract to construct the core architectural foundation for Growth 3.0 in Braze. You will bridge high-level growth vision with technical reality, building modular templates and establishing advanced Liquid and Canvas logic. This critical role features a 60% hands-on execution and 40% strategic coaching mix to elevate internal team capabilities and lead from the front on a core transformation to our Growth engine.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Directors and VP of Growth to assess current state of martech and operations; quickly evaluate current roadblocks and constraints to future goals; work with leadership and key stakeholders to lead the transformation to a more dynamic, modular marketing engine from the technical operations POV

  • Lead the transformation from the Ops POV, ensuring alignment of strategy and resourcing to hit time goals as outlined by the leadership team

  • Act as a peer pace-setter to actively train, coach, and upskill the internal Growth Ops team.

  • Architect and build modular, responsive HTML/CSS template infrastructure inside Braze.

  • Develop advanced Liquid logic, dynamic personalization, behavioral filters, and complex Canvas audience branching schemas.

  • Execute technical setup for advanced segmentation, propensity-based targeting, and automated win-back loops, in concert with product, analytics, and engineering teams.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Complete immediate onboarding and ramp up on Virta's Growth 3.0 architectural goals.

  • Interface with product and eng leaders, as well as Growth SMEs, to ensure our current requirements and constraints are mapped to martech development to ensure our future goals are attainable

  • Lead launch readiness for current email playbooks (10-30 templates) to deliver a rebranded, modular system ready for Q1 roll-out.

  • Engineer modular HTML/CSS email templates in Braze using assets provided by creative teams to build foundation for Growth 3.0 transformation.

  • Implement complex Liquid logic and Canvas workflows to support the “right message / the right member / right time” vision for dynamic, modular content.

  • Establish enablement touchpoints and coaching cadence with the Growth Ops team to transfer technical capabilities.

Must-Haves
  • Extensive experience architecting and executing within Braze (Canvases, segments, connected content, user-profile schemas).

  • Advanced mastery of Liquid markup language for dynamic template personalization.

  • Expert knowledge of responsive, client-proof HTML/CSS compilation specifically optimized for modern ESPs.

  • Strong understanding of martech data-flow architecture, API payloads, and lifecycle integrations.

  • Successfully designed and implemented repeatable AI-enabled workflows that address team bottlenecks and improve efficiency. For more information about AI usage in our hiring process, see Virta's AI Interview Resources page.

  • Curiosity, humility, and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at a senior level
