Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.

As a Staff Product Manager at Tempus, you’ll be on the front lines of our battle to develop and deliver cutting-edge, modern technology into the hands of clinicians. The software we’re developing is the culmination of input from scientists, clinicians, pathologists, engineers, data scientists, and some of the top academic medical centers in the world.

This role is ideal for an experienced, autonomous, and technically proficient self-starter with experience in consumer-facing software and intensely cross-functional settings. As part of our Customer Systems product team, you’ll lead product for a portfolio of physician-facing applications that our providers use to review and interact with Tempus diagnostic reports.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our products used by physicians and care teams. This includes our provider portal, Hub, and the tools for ordering biomarker tests, managing patients, tracking orders and reviewing diagnostic reports.

  • Manage prioritization and execution of programs in collaboration with engineering leaders.

  • Communicate progress, critical blockers, strategic risks, and nuanced technical details to a wide array of stakeholders, proactively and with exceptional clarity.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare provider-facing software products.

  • Proven track record of defining, launching, and scaling highly complex solutions within an engineering or product development context, demonstrating significant, measurable business and strategic impact.

  • Significant experience in user research, collaborating closely with product designers, and a strong sense for UX/UI design.

  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and drive execution in highly ambiguous and uncharted territories with minimal oversight.

  • Exceptional execution mindset with a proven ability to lead and deliver highly complex, cross-functional, and critical initiatives across multiple teams.

  • Comfort working with highly technical stakeholders and solving systems-level challenges, particularly within the genomics, bioinformatics, or other complex scientific domains.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex technical and strategic information for diverse audiences, especially in high-stakes or regulated contexts.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a pervasive bias toward clarity, structure, and scalable processes.

  • A background in genomics, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or life sciences is a significant plus.
