Who we are

Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find, fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by IT Ops/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.

We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers & operators, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools and false positives, resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a Senior/Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of NodeZero Tripwires, our threat detection and deception offering that turns the attacker’s perspective into high-fidelity defensive detection.

This is a highly strategic role responsible for defining how Horizon3 extends value from offensive validation into continuous detection and response. You will own the vision and roadmap for Tripwires, including core Tripwires, AD Tripwires, deployment and coverage strategy, detection fidelity, alerting and workflow integrations, dashboard experience, and the long-term expansion of the product into a broader threat detection and deception capability.

You will deeply understand the operational realities of SOC, SecOps, IR, and hybrid IT/security teams, and translate those needs into scalable, differentiated product capabilities. This role requires strong systems thinking, deep cybersecurity domain knowledge, and the ability to balance technical depth with commercial awareness.

You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Security stakeholders to ensure Tripwires delivers measurable business outcomes: earlier attacker detection, lower false-positive burden, stronger coverage of identity and crown-jewel risk, and tighter integration into existing customer response workflows.

As a senior leader within Product, you will operate with high autonomy, influence executive direction, and serve as the voice of customers using NodeZero to strengthen detection and response. You will define clear success metrics and ensure delivery against adoption, engagement, retention, differentiation, and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Detection Product Strategy: Define and execute the product strategy for NodeZero Tripwires as a precision threat detection and deception capability rooted in proven attack paths and attacker behavior.

  • Tripwires Portfolio Ownership: Own the roadmap across Tripwires, AD Tripwires, and adjacent threat detection workflows. Drive prioritization across reliability, scalability, deployment coverage, new tripwire types, analyst workflows, and future detection capabilities.

  • Offensive-to-Defensive Product Vision: Extend Horizon3’s core “find, fix, verify” motion into “detect and respond” by turning pentest results into durable defensive value, including automated tripwire placement, contextual alerting, and validation of customer detection posture.

  • Detection Fidelity and Signal Quality: Champion a product philosophy centered on high-confidence alerts, low false positives, and real attacker behavior. Ensure the product continues to differentiate by generating signals that are precise, contextual, and operationally useful.

  • Coverage Expansion and Deployment Strategy: Define how Tripwires should be deployed automatically on exploited assets, selectively on crown-jewel assets, and from entry points across additional NodeZero workflows such as internal, external, cloud, phishing, insider threat, and rapid response tests.

  • Alerting, Integrations, and Response Workflows: Partner closely with Engineering to deliver seamless integrations into SIEM, SOAR, ticketing, webhook, and broader SOC tooling ecosystems so customers can operationalize Tripwires inside their existing incident response motions.

  • Dashboard and Analyst Experience: Own the Tripwires user experience, including dashboards, contextual alert details, attack-method visibility, weakness and impact correlation, and workflows that help defenders quickly understand what happened and what to do next.

  • Customer and Market Insight: Engage directly with customers, prospects, and partners to understand how modern teams approach threat detection, deception, identity defense, and response. Identify market opportunities, competitive differentiation, and monetization paths that drive growth.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Support, Marketing, Alliances, and Customer Success to ensure successful launches, enablement, documentation, and adoption at scale.

  • Performance and Metrics: Define and monitor KPIs such as activation, deployment coverage, alert-to-investigation rate, integration adoption, retention, expansion, NPS, and product contribution to revenue and strategic differentiation.

What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, with significant time building B2B SaaS, security, infrastructure, or platform products

  • Deep understanding of one or more relevant cybersecurity domains such as threat detection and response, SOC workflows, SIEM/SOAR, deception technology, identity security, Active Directory security, incident response, or exposure management

  • Strong product judgment in balancing technical constraints, customer urgency, market timing, and long-term platform design

  • Experience working closely with engineers and designers to define product requirements, trade-offs, user workflows, and outcome-based roadmaps

  • Ability to translate attacker behavior, security telemetry, and defensive workflows into differentiated product experiences and customer value

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align executives, go-to-market teams, and engineering around a clear product vision

  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels, from market positioning and roadmap direction to requirements, prioritization, and launch execution

  • Data-driven decision-making skills with experience using product analytics, customer feedback, and operational metrics to guide prioritization

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-team initiatives

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field

  • An advanced degree in engineering, cybersecurity, or business is preferred

If you are an experienced product manager with a passion for building modern threat detection capabilities and bringing the attacker’s perspective into defensive operations, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Join our team and play a vital role in helping customers move from noisy, reactive detection to precise, high-confidence alerts grounded in real exploitability and real attacker behavior.
