Steward Supervisor

The Steward Supervisor oversees all dishwashers while coordinating with department heads for special cleaning projects and needs. A Steward Supervisor must maintain the upkeep of facilities for Department of Health visits and other venue audits. Responsible for inventory of all glass, silver, and serving equipment; set-up and breakdown of all Banquet buffets; cleaning of all Food & Beverage food prep and servicing areas, to include main kitchen, concessions kitchens, suites kitchen, and back hallways.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing all stewarding staff
  • Must oversee the cleaning and storage of all wares, including all major culinary equipment
  • Execution of stewarding and dish duties
  • Must inspect the kitchens, workrooms, and equipment for cleanliness and general order.
  • Urgency, timeliness, and detail-minded in work habits
  • Responsible for directing the efficient and effective cleaning of all areas, including walls and floors
  • Maintain and oversee the cleaning and maintenance of all dishwashers and cleaning equipment
  • Maintain and oversee upkeep and care of outdoor areas
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding food and beverage operations
  • Knowledge of chemical usage, operating a dishwasher
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations in a high-pressure environment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general compliance training. 
  • Maintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management. 
  • Adhere to the Legends Global and venue company policies. 
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.
  • Available to work non-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)

Education and/or Experience:      

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen area
  • Must be able to work long flexible hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific safety training.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Serve-Safe certified

Compensation:

  • Starting: $24 per hour (DOE)
