Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Technical Coordinator (Level 2 or 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Edwards AFB, CA.

The Supply Chain Technical Coordinator 2/3 position will provide direction to lower-level non-exempt employees, under the guidance of the manager. In addition, the following will be required to be successful in this position: a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders; and prepares stock use reports. Determines methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.

Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company. Contacts involve planning and preparation of the communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication. Will work alongside Northrop Grumman and U.S. Government personnel at Edwards AFB, CA. Duties & tasks are usually varied and complex.  

This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.

 

 

Basic Qualifications Level 2: 

 

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience. 

  • Must be able to support a 4/10 – 3/10 working rotation, for first, second, and third shifts, to support operations, as required. 

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.  

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision. 

  • Active U.S Government Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access clearance. Program Access required to start. 

  • Must be detail oriented and have a strong work ethic. 

  • Must be able to learn and follow established processes, procedures, and requirements. 

  • Experience with data entry, and proficient using commercial and military logistics supply systems. 

  • Experience maintaining records and providing traceability of materials. 

  • Experience receiving material, inspecting, and verifying materials received for accuracy. 

  • Experience determining best storage practices for warehouse environment. 

  • Candidate should have experience with and be comfortable using forklifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in operating a forklift and other types of freight moving equipment.

  • Experience with safely loading and unloading trucks.

  • Experience with setting up shipments and/or coordinating with transportation brokers.

  • Experience with classified white-glove shipping requirements.

  • Experience with using an MRP system for storing and issuing inventory.

  • Previous experience with inventory with shelf life and/or out-time controls.

  • Experienced user of MS Office computer programs to accomplish reports, logs, and briefings.

  • Hazmat training and experience is highly desired.

Primary Level Salary Range: $22.69 - $37.79Secondary Level Salary Range: $26.92 - $44.90

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
