The Data Cloud Technical Architect Director in Specialized Delivery is a demonstrated thought leader in the technical and functional application of Data 360 (fka. Data Cloud) with cross-industry experience. Ideally, they are a seasoned data-focused architect who understands the Salesforce platform and has proven success in helping customers unlock data and insights. They are seasoned in technical and functional aspects of complex Customer engagements and consistently deliver successful Data 360 focused projects and drive strategic transformations for our top Customers. .

This role is in CSG Professional Services and is a part of the Emerging Specialized Delivery team. Technical Architect Directors deliver best in class complex technical solutions to meet the Customer’s business and technical requirements. They focus on the following domains: Data 360, scripting, data management, and integrations. Senior Technical Architects lead the evaluation of options and subsequent presentation and education of the Customer/Partner. They will also identify and proactively manage risk areas, and commit to seeing issues through to complete resolution. They proactively assess and shape the customer's technical landscape, while partnering with account and delivery leadership to identify and grow new business that align to with Customer success. Being a part of the Emerging Specialized Delivery team, this role will also serve as a growth multiplier to Data 360 talent in Professional Services, supporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams on knowledge sharing, reusable assets, building best practice and other talent development activities related to this high demand area of the business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Data 360, internally and with Customers.

  • Act as a strategic advisor helping to unlock data from customers' various enterprise systems.

  • Help/exceed Customer goals and metrics while providing insights on Data 360 best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

  • Deliver high client satisfaction (CSAT) scores by ensuring value is realized through each engagement.

  • Manage multiple strategic clients simultaneously to meet/exceed utilization target.

  • Become recognized as a valuable and trusted advisor by our Customers and other members of the Data 360 community, and continue to build a reputation for excellence in Professional Services.

  • Collaborate with the Go-to-Market team to drive continued growth of services, and expansion within accounts assigned.

  • Maintain a high degree of expertise on the rapidly evolving product roadmap and the broader data platform landscape through continuous self-directed learning.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Relevant Salesforce Data 360 experience or equivalent Customer Data Platform experience, e.g. Adobe AEP, Tealium AudienceStream, Segment, ActionIQ, Treasure Data, etc.

  • Relevant Salesforce experience in Sales & Service Cloud as well as Marketing Cloud, related certifications is a plus (Data 360 Consultant, AI Specialist, Data Architect, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, etc.)

  • Data warehouse experience preferred, e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server, Marketing Databases (e.g. Adobe)

  • Experience with data management, data transformation, ETL, preferably using cloud-based tools/infrastructure

  • Data Architect skills and experience such as data profiling, data quality analysis, experience with MDMs and fuzzy matching conventions a plus

  • Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids. Ability to conceptualize and create sophisticated diagrams and documents

  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn new technologies quickly and thoroughly

  • Expertise in gathering and analyzing information related to data integration, subscriber management, and identity resolution

  • Experience with AI-related data integration technologies and concepts, including RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases, specifically how they apply to grounding Agentforce solutions with enterprise data is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutions and lead discussions such as implementation methodology, architectural roadmaps, enterprise transformation strategy, and executive-level requirement gathering sessions and solution presentations

  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Privacy concepts and regulations is a plus

  • BA/BS degree or foreign equivalent

  • Willingness to travel when needed (expected to be less than 50%)

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $270,000 annually There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $260,000 - $290,000 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
